Introduction:
Lets touch upon some background information. My name is Elizabeth Grace. People mostly call my Elizabeth or Grace... I'm not overly in love with my first name. I'm 15 years old, almost 16. My best friend is Alex Constancio. We've know each other for a long time. Ever since I moved into the San Antonio school district, which if I remember correctly was, 8th grade. I'm also obsessed with the game of softball.

Chapter 1:
It's the first day of my sophomore year. My alarm clock is blaring 'Love Me Like You Do' by Justin Bieber. I sit up in bed and rub my tired eyes. After getting up at 11:00 every morning for two months, getting up at 6:00 is a HUGE difference. I look up at the end of my bed and see my outfit I picked out for the first day of school. Since it was San Antonio, it's warm, extremely warm in August. So I picked out bright pink short-shorts and a white 'infinity' tank top. I picked it up and grabbed my iPhone and walked into the bathroom and closed the door.
After I got out of the shower, I got dressed and grabbed my blow-dryer. I blow-dryed my long blond hair until it was practically straight. It was much easier to straighten that way.
I grabbed my straightener and started straightening my hair. All of a sudden I hear my phone vibrate and look down to see a text message from Alex.
Alex: "Grace! What time do you want me to pick you up?"
I just replied,"Give my 15 mins?(:"
As usual he replied,"Okay works for me!"
So it gave me enough time to finish straightening my hair and apply my make-up. I grabbed my cosmetic case and pulled out my foundation. Then I applied some pink eye-shadow, eyeliner, and mascara. I slipped my sparkly gold American Eagle flip-flops on and ran out the door. I walk out the door to Alex pulling in.
I waved and slid into the car. Alex says,"Good morning!" I smile and say,"Good morning to you too Mr. Constancio!" He chuckled to himself which made me giggle. We were driving for about two minutes in silence until Alex blurts out,"So Grace, who do you have your eye on this year?" He just says that to get on my nerves.
Last year, I was a freshman. I was dating this guy named Jake. He started out being really sweet and everything a girl could ever want. He had me 'head over heels' as they would say. He said all the right things. When we first started dating, he would show me a lot of affection. He would come up behind me and put his arms around my waist, he would hold my hand, he was perfect. Did I also mention that Jake was the Quarterback of the football team? Well yeah he was, as a freshman. When I started dating Jake, I wasn't "popular" but I wasn't considered a "loser". When I dated Jake however, that changed in a hurry.
I was immediately thought of as "popular". Everyone was coming up to me asking me to hand out with them. Wow reputation sure changes how people act. It makes me sick. Well anyway, as I was saying, Jake was great. However, that changed when other guys talked to me. He would get jealous. I hated guys who got jealous. I wanted to be friends with anybody that wanted to be friends with me. But I couldn't even talk to a guy.
Jake started getting really clingy and it was annoying. I mean don't get me wrong, I thought I was in love, but I needed my space. I finally had to just tell him.
I said,"Hey Jake... Listen... I don't think we're gonna work out." The look on his face was priceless. He jut managed to spit out,"Uh... Mind telling me why?" I just kinda stood there for a second and said,"I'm just not feeling it." And I walked away. That obviously wasn't the case... But whatever it's over now.
