"Now then, about that proposal..."
(Your POV)
Absently, you sat on a white couch in an unfamiliar room, staring at unfamiliar walls. Yesterday, you had accepted Heathcliff's request. The request for you to join the Knights of the Blood Oath. You felt a twinge in your heart. Kirito had not been allowed to come, for reasons you couldn't comprehend.
You stared at your white-and-red skirted legs, your white-booted feet. At least the outfit looks good, you thought. You sat in silence until the echo of footsteps caught your attention. Looking up, you spotted a man walking towards you in a dignified manner.
"Miss (u/n), please follow me." Without waiting for you to stand up, he spun on his heel and began walking.
"Ah- okay." Quickly pushing yourself to your feet, you scurried to catch up to your escort. He expertly navigated through the halls, and you resisted the urge to ask him to slow down.
Abruptly, he halted before two doors. "Heathcliff awaits you inside." The man held the door open for you, motioning inside with his hand. Biting your tongue, you stepped inside. The door closed behind you with a click, sealing you inside with the legendary man.
Heathcliff was sitting at his desk. "Please, come take a seat, Miss (u/n)."Quickly making your way towards him, you sat down in the red padded chair. "As you recall," he started, "I myself requested for you to join the Knights of the Blood Oath." You nodded in silent agreement.
"And you accepted my request, did you not?"
"Yes, I did, sir. If I may ask, where is this leading?" You clasped your fingers together in your lap.
"I'm glad you asked. As of today, you are officially part of the Knights. You will be training with Godfrey, who will teach you about this guild, and how to navigate the building."
Once again you nodded, to show you understood. "Where is Godfrey, sir?"
"He is outside in the courtyard, last I heard. You are dismissed to go find him." Looking down, Heathcliff fiddled with what looked like paperwork.
Standing up, you murmured a farewell before leaving the room.
The man who had led you here had vanished while you and the Commander were talking. You looked around in the spacious hallway. "...Which way to the courtyard?" you asked yourself. Convincing yourself you'd find it sooner or later, you began wandering through the halls.
You spotted a woman walking swiftly past you.
"Um, excuse me!" You reached out, grabbing her shoulder. She halted, turning to stare are you.
"Who are you? I've never seen you before." She gave you a hard stare.
You removed your hand from her shoulder. "I'm sorry. Heath- I mean, the Commander requested for me to join the Knights, so I'm the newest recruit..."
"I doubt the Commander himself would go out of his way to ask a squirt like you to join. Never mind that. What do you want?"
"Which way is the courtyard?"
The woman sighed, and began talking like you were an idiot. "First floor. Make a left at the bottom of the steps, follow the hallway and make a right at the first turn, and keep going straight. You can't miss it. Glass doors, lots of windows. Now leave me alone."
"Right, sorry to bother you..." What a moody bitch! Waving a hasty goodbye, you watched as she snorted, glared at you one last time, turned, and began walking away in the same quick pace you spotted her with.
Sighing, you quietly repeated the directions to yourself. "First floor, make a... left, follow the hallway and make a right. Then keep going straight. Right!" You at least knew where the stairs were, as they were how you got to the second floor. You broke into a run, not stopping until you reached the steps. You panted slightly as you half-walked, half-jumped your way down to the first floor.
Standing at the bottom, you looked left and right. You started going right before slapping yourself in the forehead. "To the left, idiot!" you scolded yourself, spinning around and jogging in the proper direction. You turned right at the first intersection, beginning to smile as you spotted the glassy wall.
Slowing to a halt, you slid the door open, and closed it behind you. Multiple people were in the courtyard. Lots of them were practicing on dummies, others were eating and laughing with their friends. You looked around.
...Who was Godfrey, anyway? You approached the closest person. "Um, excuse me, is a person called Godfrey here?"
He halted his sword mid-swing. "Godfrey? I believe I saw him in the gazebo."
You smiled. "Thank you!" Looking around, you spotted the white structure, and made your way over to it. Stepping inside it, you looked around at the men sitting inside. "Are any of you named Godfrey?" you asked.
A chestnut-haired man raised his hand. "That would be me, missy! Do you need me for something?"
"Yes, sir. My name is (u/n), and the Commander said you would be the one training with me and helping me learn the inside of Headquarters?"
Godfrey burst out laughing. "Ah, (u/n)! I've been waiting for you! 'Scuse me, guys." He stood up, walking towards me. "Alright, ready to learn?"
You let out a small laugh. "Yes, sir!"
