Today was the day everything would change. My name is Kristina South and I'm moving frim my home town Tennesee to LA for College.
It's going to be so different. Having to adapt to a city area is going to be hard for me. I currently live on a horse ranch. So basically everyday I wear daggy clothes, go riding and exercise the horses. I'm going to have to change big time. New clothes, new schedule and I'm going to have to get used to the amount of people in the city... Great. My cab taking me to the airport was arriving in an hour so i have to do some final packing. I went and grabbed the photo on the side of my drawer. It was a photo of me and my best friend. (Photo up the top). I was leaving her today, I'm not going to see her for years.
A tear slipped from my eye. I delicately wiped it away. I needed now to go spend some time with my horse Ace before i leave. He was part of my childhood, so I spent half an hour with him. I decided to get ready and pick out something to wear out of my new clothes.*Beep*
There's the cab. Phone. Check. Wallet. Check. Good, hopefully I didn't leave anything behind. I ran downstairs, my mom waited in the kitchen with a tear in her eye."Why are you crying mom" i blinked.
"My baby is leaving" she ran to me and hugged me until i felt like I couldn't breathe anymore.
The cabby beeped at me a few times before i skipped out the door and hopped in the cab quickly.
I speed off down my driveway and I got my last glimpse of the place.
Once again a tear slipped out of my eye.
We arrived at the airport after a hour of constant attempts to make the cabby shut up and drowning out the annoyance with my music.
"Flight 2072 boarding now." The loud speaker echoed.
That was my flight. Time to leave. Time for a new beginning. Time for change.I walked towards the gates. But before i reached it i heard my named screamed out.
"Kristina" i turn to see my best friend Esmae standing behind me crying."Esmae!!" I run towards her and hug her tightly.
She whispers in my eye that she will miss me and loves me dearly."I promise we will have our regular skype calls" I say tearing up now.
I stumbled toward the gate and before i knew it i was on the plane.
I sat down in my seat. Thankfully I wasn't next to a weird or anything, Just a lovely elderly woman.
We had quite a few conversations that ended up to be quite deep. The old lady had given me so much advice and I wouldn't forget this.
"Butterflies can't see their own wings. They can't see how beautiful they truly are, but every one else can. People are like that aswell."
That was the last thing i heard from the lady before we exited the plane.
I sucked up all the advice like a sponge.I jumped in another cab and i was one my way to my new college. I wonder what my dorm will be like? Who will be my Roommate? Cute boys?
I was quite looking forward to this.
Thanks for reading guys. I will try to update as much as possible.
