Lightening tore through the sky.
The thunder cracked seconds later. This storm wasn't letting it, but this was no ordinary storm. Oceania and Nimbus looked behind them to see orcas jumping out of the sea after them. Leading the chase was the force causing all the chaos. Mami Wata, the Goddess of the Sea. She has big poofy dreadlocks, a snake with two heads but no tail cloaked around her neck and a mighty tail that slapped the water. Each smack of her tail, breaking the tide and sending massive waves out behind her.
"Step on it Nimbus!" Cried Oceania, "She's gaining on us!"
"Brace yourselves!" Nimbus shouted, as he put the boat in overdrive. They had to get out of the sea, it was a dangerous place to be.
Oceania and Nimbus were trying to get their half breed daughter to shore so that she could study human culture and then decide if she wanted to be a human or a mermaid. However, Mami Wata did not like to give up her mer-babies even if they were only have human. She felt the best place for them was servitude in the palace. No human should be coercing with her merfolk even if there were sirens who occasionally lead men to their death. That was the law and Oceania broke it. If she got out of this alive she'd never be able to go home again. She'd never see Atlantis, but she didn't care. The only thing that mattered was Nimbus. He was her world and she was his. They'd loved each other for so long and we're tired of hiding it. They wanted their daughter to grow up free and choose her own life. That's why they were escaping Mami Wata's underwater kingdom, Neptunellious, Earth's Neptune location.
In the distance Nimbus saw a light flicker. It had to be his mother, priestess Ciras. She was to be waiting for them on the coast of Madagascar near the kingdom of queen Ranavalona
