As we stepped out of the airport the warm breeze ran over my skin. The air smelled of salt water. I had my blonde hair in a messy bun and my Ray-Bans on. I looked over at Ed and smiled. "Welcome to Hawaii, babe!" "I love it already!" I said. "Glad I could make you happy, baby." He grabbed my hand and we walked to our hotel, which was literally down the street.
We checked in and went up to our room. It was a one bedroom suite on the top floor with a balcony and a hot tub. It looked so elegant and there were rose petals all over the floor and bed. "Oh, Ed...It's...It's amazing..." I was tearing up. He wiped a tear off my cheek and put my face in his hands. "Not nearly as beautiful as you." He pulled me in for a kiss. It was soft at first, but he pressed harder. I pulled away. I felt like I was about to throw up.....
I ran to the bathroom and leaned over the toilet. "Babe?? Babe, let me in!" Ed shouted. I sat on the floor. "It's open..." "Ohh." He opened the door and sat next to me. "Are you alright?" "Yahh, its just..." I turned around and threw up. "Oh dear..." He said. As I turned back around my toiletries bag caught my eye. "Oh no.." I said standing. I ran over to the bag. "Hon?" "What if i'm..?" I muttered to myself. "No, I can't be......oh. my. god...." "You are really scaring me...." Ed admitted."I think I'm...." I took a deep breath. "I think I'm pregnant." Ed looked at my face, then my belly, and buried his face in his hands. I could hear him crying, so I sat next to him and wrapped my arms around his neck. He lifted his face and smiled. "Babe, I'm sorry...I don't ..." But he just chuckled and grabbed my hand a clasped it between his. "This is amazing." I looked him in the eyes and wiped a tear from his cheek. "I'm scared." I said.
The next morning I took a pregnancy test. I set it on the counter of our hotel room and paced impatiently for the next five minutes. Glancing at the clock, I realized it'd been five minutes. "Ed!" "Yes, dear?" "It's been five minutes..." "Are you ready?" He asked. "Ready as I'll ever be." I said picking up the test. "Ed...we're having a baby."
