The cold night breeze slapped my bare face as I walked towards the building where I lived for eight years. I have this love-hate relationship with this building, maybe not the building itself, but partially half of my life here. To give a short information about me, my name is Kim Jongin. I'm a Korean, and I'm currently a trainee at a big entertainment company called "SM Entertainment".

As I entered the building, I could quickly guess that there was no one inside. Well, it's late in the evening. It's weird that I even expected someone to be here at this late hour. I walked up the stairs holding two cupnoodles on my hands. Don't get me wrong my boo, these two are for me. As I take a step by step, I could hear some music and footsteps coming from the room I was heading to.

I slowly and quietly walked towards the practice room, not because I was scared, but because I was half nervous and half excited with the thought that I might see her. I know I am pathetic to be wishing that this person was her, but just like how prince charming found Cinderella by one shoe, the person in the practice room was her. Kang Seulgi. It was her.

My heart began to flutter as soon as I saw her dancing passionately.  I wanted to approach and talk to her, but I didn't want to cut her off from dancing. I wanted to see her dancing, I love it when Seulgi dances like she's the only person in the entire world.

Confused between two decisions;  whether to go back to the dorm or approach Seulgi, I wasn't able to hear her calling my name. "Jongin!" she said, looking at my direction. She must have seen me peaking.

"Seulgi? Why are you still practicing? It's late." I say, trying my hardest to hide my blushed face.

"Says the person who also came to practice at this late evening." she said, smiling genuinely.

"Oh... That's true haha.."

"By the way, why didn't you tell me about your debut tomorrow?" She asked with a very disappointed face.

"I'm sorry... I just didn't want to... bother you with my stuffs... and..." I say, not being able to answer properly.

"Jongin, you will never bother me with your stuffs... I would actually welcome every single thing you tell me, because that's how much......" Seulgi said, almost about to burst out in tears.

"Never mind...." she added.

I don't know what she was about to say. I desperately wanted to know what she meant by "how much....", because it might be something that I was waiting to hear, but maybe, I was just assuming.

"Seulgi.... I hope you understand. I had my own reasons of not telling it to you..."

"Whatever the reason is, I understand. No, I honestly can't. I know we're nothing special but friends, but I think I have the right to know whatever reason you had of not telling."

"I'm..... sorry." I said, not knowing what to say. I honestly really don't know why I didn't tell her, as I know that this is the happiest news that both me and Seulgi were waiting for. But I didn't want to tell her. I felt sorry and sad that I was debuting first, leaving her behind.

Seulgi started to burst in laughter like nothing happened. Surprised and confused, I stared at her eyes trying to read her mind. "CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!  I was just kidding, you silly. I'm so happy for you!!" she said, trying to not look at me straight in the eye.

"Thank.... you? No, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I'm going to be debuting first, I'm sorry that I didn't keep the promise of us debuting together. I'm sorry......."

"But it's not your fault! Please, don't be. It weakens my heart.." she said.

There was an awkward silence for a moment before Seulgi spoke out.

"Don't forget me when you become popular, okay?! Even when girls follow you around saying 'Kim Jongin is mine!!", you should not forget me, the trainee ancestor, Kang Seulgi. Okay?!" she said, making her loveliest smile.

I wanted to hug her. She was standing just inches away from me. I wanted to hug her like a man of men, but I didn't want to be rude to her. Trying my hardest to not make any mistake, I smiled it off.

"Of course, ancestor!" I said.

"I'm going now, this practice room is all yours! I wish you a good luck, don't be nervous, okay? Don't practice too late." she said, nagging as usual.

"Okay okay, do you want me to drop you at dorm?"

"No, it's fine. I just.......... want that cupnoodle." she said, pointing at one of the cup noodles that I was holding. I tried to not burst in laughter, but failed to do so. I didn't hesitate a second and gave her one. Seulgi happily went away.

I remember. I remember everything now. Seulgi, I'm sorry. Please come back to me.
