I remember I was ten when my father passed away. I reacted like any other kid who would lose his hero. I locked myself up in my room and sobbed for hours till I passed out. When I woke up I saw uncle Clark sitting in a chair across my room. I wondered how he opened the door, he probably picked the lock. Uncle Clark looked at me with his dark eyes, I found them very intimidating. He got up and walked across the room and sat next to me. He took a deep breath and said"you alright kid, come on toughen up". He talked to me for a while telling me that if I was wasn't strong who would take care of my mother and keep the family strong. Uncle Clark was kind that day and it helped me a lot. As time went by I ran into other problems which kept on adding up but uncle Clark was always there. He kept me away from bad influence and I also learned a lot of stuff from him since he was a retired veteran. Then that one day came which turned my life around, uncle Clark passed away from a heart attack and I fell into depression. I'd probably killed myself by now if it wasn't for Uncle Clark's words but I started doing drugs to find a solution for my problems instead of facing them. As time went by my mom started falling into debt and couldn't find a job. At this point I stood up and tried helping my mom with stuff around the house. I also started taking full responsibility of my younger sister Lucy. This made it easier for my mom because now she had more time to find a job.
We were good for a while but the bills kept adding up and I dropped out of collage and joined the army. I used the hate I had against the world to make me stronger. I was finally recognized by a special unit by the name of "Lurkers", I never heard of them and no one knew what they did, so imagine to be given an offer by an anonymous organization . I joined the organization because of the money they were offering and that too only for training. I was eventually chosen because they thought I was heartless and they needed people like me, they probably checked my background and knew I had a tough life. I accepted, not knowing what I was about to get into. Our first mission was to kill a suspected arms dealer. I didn't know if he was guilty or not but I pressed the trigger and killed him in front of his family. The man's name was Carlos, he had a son and a wife. The wife was killed because she tried to shoot one of my men, I was also the one to pull the trigger on her. As for her soon he was brainwashed and sent of to life in a foster home. Over time my worked was appreciated and I was offered another offer by the overwatchers, people in charge of our group. They offered to put me in an advanced group called the red cobras but to join them I would have to change my identity and I couldn't see my family anymore. The overwatchers guilted me to joining them saying that if I was ready to live with all that blood on my hands, technically I didn't mind, it wasn't like I would wake up in the night screaming, I was ready to live with the blood on my hands. That's when they brought Lucy in it. My mom was talking about Lucy the other day saying she wanted to go to university but they didn't have that kind of money. So they talked to me about Lucy and my family. They already thought all about it and they wanted me in the group. I could've gotten tons of other jobs but at that time I wasn't thinking clearly so I accepted..and was named Flame xel.
