I was in shock. He just asked me out. The man of my dreams just asked me out. Oh god, I though, I haven't answered him yet, what should i say? yes, no, maybe?
"Charlie, ummm, I, think we should just be friends." I said to Charlie looking down. I felt Charlies eyes burning on my skin.
"Ummm..... OK. I thought thats what you wanted, but i guess not. But we can still be friends." Said Charlie with pain in his voice.
"Deal."
For the rest of the ride home not one word was said.
"Ah.... Thanks for the car ride Charlie....." I say awkwardly.
" No problem...."
"Uhhh, sorry I guess...." I say when i get out of the car. But he doesnt reply, he just drives away.
