2. Nice to Meet You

I saw Liam get up from his desk and go see Mr. Phillip. I thought that he was going to ask to switch partners but I was wrong when I saw Mr. Phillip point his finger at me . Liam was just asking who I was which didn't surprise me. As soon as their conversation was over I saw Liam start to walk towards me. As he came closer all I kept thinking was that he was attractive. He had light brown eyes, dark hair, and when ever he smiled it just looked perfect. I snapped out of these thoughts when he put his hand out in front of me and said," Hi I am Liam, nice to meet you Keelynn". I put my hand out and shook his. As we shook hands our eyes met and then I quickly pulled away because I didn't want it to be awkward. I don't think that he noticed what I was doing because he started asking questions about me.

The bell interrupted our conversation. I didn't want it to end, I just wanted to continue to talk to him. I grabbed my stuff from my desk and started to head out of the class. Before I could even reach the door Liam grabbed my arm. I turned around to face him. " I kinda need your number if we are going to be partners for this project.", he said with a smile. I ripped out a paper from my notebook and wrote my number on it then handed it to him. I knew if I didn't turn around now a huge smile would wipe across my face. So I walked out the room and went to English.

The day went by slower then it normally does. Every class period felt like it was hours long. But when last period ended I quickly got to my locker grabbed my stuff and headed out to my car. On the car ride home my phone went off. I knew I shouldn't check it because you should never take your eyes off the road. Instead I started to drive faster. I don't know why I drove so fast, my phone going off was probably just an email.

I arrived at my house I pulled my backpack out of the car locked the doors and ran inside. I quickly pulled out my phone and saw a number that I didn't recognize. I unlocked my phone and the message read:

Liam: Hi, it's Liam. I wanted to know if you want to hang out before we start working on this project to get to know each other more.

Me: Yes, that sounds good. When do you want to hang out?

Liam: I am free right now, if you don't mind hanging out today.

Me: That's fine. You can come to my house, I live on 309 Crescent Pines Lane.

Liam: Okay! Ill see you in about 15 minutes.

15 minutes! I only have 15 minutes until he shows up to my house. I don't want to try to hard and look good because he will know that I didn't look like that for school. So what I did was release the elastic from my hair and let my hair be natural, brush my teeth, and put a little perfume on.

I heard a knock on my door. The 15 minutes went by faster then I thought. I felt my pulse rising and I started to get a nervous feeling inside of me. I started to breathe in and out so I could calm myself down. It helped a little. But my pulse jumped a little more as I put my hand on the door knob and started turning it. When I fully opened the door. I gave Liam a warm smile and said, "Hi".
