It took around 15 minutes to get to the coffee shop. You thought it was a bit cliche to take Alfred there to get to know eachother, but it was all you had at the moment. It was your treat, and you let him get whatever he wanted. You stayed for about 2 hours, just talking and laughing. Something clicked. You knew he was the one for you. You just decided to wait to ask him, though the wait would be a long one.
He would be yours.
He offered to walk you home, and you happily let him. You wondered if you were going to get any sleep, or just stay away in bed all night thinking about him. You gave him your number, telling him to call in the morning.

Alfred was in your dreams. A majority of them. And they involved the two of you claiming intimacy.
Never have you felt so right around someone. It had been a year since you met him, and you knew you were ready to ask him. You were finally able to ask him to be your one and only. You knew the perfect place to ask him -- the same coffee shop you two hung out a year ago today. You called him, and exactly half an hour later, he was knocking at your door. You took his hand and ran there, your stomach doing flip-flops from nervousness.
You got Alfred what he had asked for, and sat down at a table. You looked up at him with soft eyes, taking his hand. He beat you to it. ''Dude, I've been thinking,'' he started, your face lighting up. ''Be my..heroine?'' You knew what he meant. He was asking you out. You wanted to scream from pure joy. You didn't trust your voice, so you nodded frantically.
You look him in the eyes, and lost it. You pulled him into a kiss, your first one to be exact. You were scared you wouldn't be any good at it, but you didn't pull away. Alfred pulled away to breathe and chuckled. ''Not in public, darling.''
