This sucks. Plain and simple, Job hunting sucks booty!! How does this town not have any open jobs.

I push open the door to my favorite book store and hear the familiar jingle of the the door bell. Jain has listened to my rants for the past 2 days and she always has the book I'm looking for. I glance at the front desk. Hmm, weird Jain isn't there...

"JAIN? ARE YOU HERE?" I call out.

"Guess what I did!!!" She squealed, popping out from the desk. She really doesn't act like a 37 year old.

"What did you do?" I queried

"Noooooo! You have to guess!"

" You.... married a witch?"

"no?"

" You... saw Jensen Ankles naked?"

"NO!.....but I wish I did..." She blushed.

She slammed a newspaper on the desk with a Cheshire cat grin on her face. I noticed purple circles littered across the paper. Flicking through the pages I saw more of them.

"I found jobs but at people's houses! I know that might be a little weird but hey it pays y'know?"

"Oh my goodness Jain, you're amazing. Thank you!" I said

~Jingle jingle~

Someone walked through the door.

"I'll just take this." I said walking to the beanbag chairs

"Your welcome Ellie-Bean." She said as I walked out of the store and down to the café on the corner. After ordering, I sat in my usual seat in the back and got to calling numbers.

"Hello my name is Ellie Braun and I was calling about your ad in the paper about an in-house chef. I didn't go culinary school but I have cooked for years and I definitely know my way around a kitchen if you could be so kind call me back I would love to speak to you about the job. Have a nice day!" I recited to the voicemail robot.

Ugh no answer. On to the next job.

"Devin Wesley's office, how may I help you?"
