Bella's POV

It's the next day and luckly they returned last night around 11. They said the car broke down and they got lost that's all. I don't buy any of it but they are ok which is good.

We go to school and I sit in study hall as Luke sits next to me against my will. "Why didn't you text?" He asks. "I was busy" I mutter as I draw on my notebook. "What happened?" He asks. "Busy" I repeat. "Lies....I can tell your faking it" He says. "Trust me you can tell me" He says. I sigh and tell him the story.

The day moves quickly and Luke and I talked when we got the chance. We just talked about bands and himself in a band. We sit together on the bus and talk a bit. He stands to leave. "Ill text you the address for the show tonight k?'' He smirks. "Ya" I smile a bit.

The rest of the trip I think to myself with We Are The In Crowd blasting in my ears.

I walk inside to see my mom. "Hey babygirl" She smiles. "Hey" I smile big. "Someones more smiley than usual whats up?" Jal asks laughing a bit. "Oh did you not see?" Jake laughs. "You know that tattooed Luke Hemmings?" Jake says and they all nod. "Well he asked Ms Bella on a date to see his band tonight" He laughs eating grapes. "Its not a date!" I argue. "Mhm" He says walking away. "IT ISNT!" I yell. "I don't know you two together....." My mom begins. "Mom trust me I won't date him the closest we're getting is friends" I laugh leaning against the counter as she does dishes. "What happens if you fall in love with him?" She's asks raising her eyebrows. "What then?" She adds. "Well then I fall in love with him like you told me you can't control where your heart goes...." I say and she looks at me. "Nice use my words against me!" She laughs. "I'm just saying but trust me I will never fall in love with Luke Hemmings". I say walking away to my room.

I lay on my bed as Jal studies for her math test. "Beginning of the year and already a math test what the hell?!" She says. I look up from my laptop placing my glasses on my head. "Sucks being an honors student huh?" I chuckle a bit cracking my knuckles. "Shut up" she says going back to her book.

I get a text from Luke *hey babes* I roll my eyes. *im not your "babes" why do you even call me that name?* I text back. *because one day you'll be my babe* he replies I laugh at the reply. "What?" Jal questions. "Luke!" I laugh.  She raises her eyebrow and I reply back *Ha! That's funny* I hit send. "I will never fall in love with luke hemmings no never god no" She mocks me. "I wont!" I yell throwing a pillow at her. *You will one day babes im gonna wait for you trust me now get some rest babes* He texts back and I text back. *Goodnight Luke* *Goodnight babes* I roll my eyes at the text with the name.

We turn on the music and the lights off. I get comfortable in my bed. I think to myself what if I did date Luke? What would it be like? Would he actually like me? What would my parents think of him? Is he just a player using me? UGH I JUST WANNA SLEEP.

Why cant he escape from my mind?
