a Trip to Portland

Chapter 1

((NOTE: This story changes P.O.V's every chapter, so each chapter will go from Max to Chloe. It will still be noted at the top of each chapter.))

Max's P.O.V

I had finally built up the courage to ask Warren out on a date with me. My phone was trembling in my hands and then I sent it.

Max: Hey, can we meet up now?

Warren: Sure! :D

I got my shit ready and practiced for what seemed like the 90th time and finally left my dorm. I saw him walk into the campus area and that's when I started to feel a little giddy and nervous. I looked out of my window and saw him smile at me. I waved back and texted him again.

Max: I'll be there in a sec.

After a few minutes of walking I see him sitting down on the front steps. Once he saw me he smiled and greeted me without a hug.That's odd..I thought to myself, but then shrugged it off."

I was just wondering.. If you w-wanted to go out with me?" I instantly looked down, hoping he would say yes. What he said next shocked me. "S-Sorry.. I'm dating Brooke now." He replied with a hand scratching the back of his neck. I nodded in discomfort before shaking my head and running back in. 

I could hear him saying my name but I didn't care at all.I can't rewind.. I'll have to live with it for now,I thought with tears dripping down my cheeks. I call Chloe and my voice instantly went all croaky when she answered. "Yo, Super Max! What's up?" She asked down the line. I sobbed and breathed in deeply. "C-Can you come to my dorm.. Like, now?" I ask her. She seemed worried herself as I heard her gasp slightly with the faint noise of her slamming down her stairs."I'm heading to my truck right now. Speak to you later." She tells me. I nod and smile to myself. "Th-Thanks, Che." I replied and ended the call, leaning back on my bed and crying my heart out.
