Chapter 18: I miss her

~2 months after the car accident~
--Graser's POV--
I sighed taking the bouquet of flowers to (y/n)'s room. She was still in the coma. The doctors want to give up hope. But every now and then I see her move her hand, like she's trying so hard to wake up. I was holding her hand when a doctor walked in.
"Zach." He nodded to me. "I think you should leave. We will call if anything new happens.." His voice trailed off.
"No. I'm not leaving her, she needs me now. More than she ever has before.."
"Sir, she's been in a coma for 2 months it's possible she won't even wake up!"
"Don't say that!" I felt tears stinging my eyes. "She's close to waking up!"
I heard him sigh. And walk out. I looked at (y/n), and gently took her hand. This hurts. A lot. I miss her so much. Her smile, her laugh, her kisses. And now she's gone.
I was startled by my phone vibrating violently in my pocket. I took it out and answered it. "Hello?"
"Zach! How's (y/n)?" I heard Liam say frantically.
"Still asleep." I mumbled.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I thought she'd be awake by now..."
"Liam, i think she's going to die!" I blurted out.
"No! Zach don't say that! She'll be fine, give it another week at the most."
"I'll try." I said and we ended the call. I looked over at her still limp body sighing. As I stood up and walked out of the room.
~the next day~
I got a call from the hospital, they were going to test for brain activity...And I was needed to sign some forms of consent. I watched as they plugged her into the machine.
"I'm getting a small reading." I heard a doctor say.
"That's barely any. But it's a sign she's not completely gone.." They got quieter. I didn't mind. It wasn't going to kill me.

--Your POV-- (out of body experience)
I looked at my frail body. I looked so dead. What am I dead?!
"Zach!" I yelled. But it only echoed. I saw him standing with a bunch of doctors while I was plugged into a machine. I walked into the room. And listened in on the doctors private conversation.
"Zachary Graser, he'll be devastated.."
"So, the serum basically kills you, all we have to say is we don't know what went wrong. And poof she's gone forever and he can move on."
"No! Give it a week.."
"Fine"
I blinked my eyes wide. They were going to kill me! And graser wouldn't even know....
