Summer

Peace, thats all i desired, but we don't always get what we want right? That my friends ( I can call you that right? I'm sure you don't mind) is what I thought as my annoying alarm went off signaling that it was time to get up. It was 6:30 a.m. and to my luck I had to get ready for school so as usual I surfed the web and checked my instagram for a good thirty minutes before finally deciding to get ready.

Since it was the first day of my junior year in high school I had to do my best and look presentable (Like lets be honest I was really only trying to look my best for the first day, I wouldn't care the rest of the school year). As I made my way over to my medium sized bathroom and analyzed the reflection that was held by the mirror in-front of me, and goodness I did not look decent! Shaking my head I undressed and hopped into the shower, washing my hair and body, and well you get the idea. Once I was finished I wrapped myself in a towel and put on my under garments, as for actual clothes I decided on light washed skinny jeans with a white tank top and a black cardigan. As for makeup I went simple with a few coats of mascara, winged eye liner, and nude lips, while my hair was grabbed into a messy yet neat bun.

When I was done getting ready I made my way down to the kitchen expecting my mom and dad to be there or at least one of the to be there, but to my luck they had both already left for work, which kinda put me in a bad mood. Now don't get me wrong I love my parents and all but they are never there for me its like I don't even exist to them, but what ever, I have other things to do like get to school. Before leaving the house I made myself some toast and a cup of tea that would hold me off till the end of school ( yes thats all I eat). I made my way out into the yard and got into my black Range Rover and drove off to school ( for those of you wondering I'm 17 and was abel to get my license during the summer after my birthday on June 5). As I made my way to school I decided to jam out a bit so i turned up the volume and put on my aux cord. After about 15 minutes of driving I finally got to the hell hole people like to call school.

It was now lunch time which meant the day was half way over!

" Summer!! Hey Summer!" I heard from behind me, as i turned around I realized it was my best friend Bethany. - Beth for short -

"Oh, Hey Beth how's your day so far any cute boys yet" I said with a playful smirk as my best friend full on blushed.

"Lol! How did you know !! I can never get anything past you girly." she said as we made our way to the lunch room

" I don't know, lucky guess??"

" Yeah right, like I'm gonna believe that, you just know me too well." there was a pause before she said she'd be right back from getting lunch, so I made my way to our usual table where the rest of the group was already seated.

"Hey guys!" I said as I was greeted by nods and a few smiles.

Our group was made of 9 people including me which consisted of - Beth, Jack, John, Alex, Lucy, Alison, Josh and myself.

While we waited for Beth to get back with her lunch we made small talk, though my eyes usually wondered off looking at all the different groups that formed in the lunch room at this hour. During one of those times, my eyes managed to focus on a guy I had never seen before, and something about him called for my attention. As I kept my eyes on him, he turned to look me straight in the eyes, I can honestly say it was a bit awkward but i can't lie I did blush the slightest bit ever. He was different and i needed to know why.

I'm now in my last period class, art not my favorite but it's not something I can't deal with. As the class settled down my mind began to drift to this afternoon during lunch when I saw that boy in the cafeteria. There's just something about him that makes it impossible for me to forget him, I don't know his name and I'm positive he's new to the school or so I think.

As class goes by I'm drawn out of my thoughts by the bell signaling it's time to go home and I couldn't be more excited. While making my way to the front of the school I get a call from Lucy telling me to meet her at the gym.

Walking to the gym was something I wasn't looking forward to, I really wanted to go home, but Lucy is my friend and I couldn't do that to her. On my way there I pass the football players and my eyes meet with those same eyes from earlier that day. I shake off the feeling I get and keep walking.

"Summer over here!" I here as I enter the gym, I look around and find Lucy with a bunch of cheerleaders. Which is odd I might add, she isn't one that's up for these things most of the time.

"Oh hey Lucy, what's up with you and cheerleading? " I said in return.

"Well it's junior year and I wanted to do something different" she takes a breath and continues"would you mind joining me today if you like it you can try out with me yeah ?"

I take a moment to think about it I'm not usually up for this things but hey it's a new year right ?

"Yeah I guess, what can go wrong right ?" I say answering her question.
