This is a bonus chapter for the Jacob ending universe.

It's a crossover with the Pitch Perfect universe.

This is me being self-indulgent. You can take this seriously as continuation of the story or just enjoy it as its own separate thing that probably never happened.

The story is set in 2007. Beca having more of an emo look fits the time period more.

Chapter title is from the Patty Cline and the Jordanaires song.

Edward didn't necessarily know why he chose Barden University for college. He had gone to the each of the Ivy League schools at least once in his prolonged lifetime. He certainly had the grades and the funds to go to any university in North America or abroad. A part of him knew he chose the school in Atlanta because he needed a break from his family and their constant meddling.

Barden did have a good arts program especially in music. The acapella groups on campus had won competitions and had more cachet than the more classical musically-inclined students. Playing instruments had become unfathomably unwelcome when people could just use their mouths to harmonize. It was beyond his comprehension.

Edward took the internship at the university radio station for something to do besides avoiding the Treblemakers harmonizing on the quad. The acapella groups had no issue bursting into a performance no matter where they were or whether they were being a public nuisance. That's how he met Rebeca Mitchell, another intern and fellow freshman. She was an undeclared major who wore thick eyeliner and red streaks in her hair.

Luke was the radio station manager. A blond British senior with a snarky personality and a six pack he didn't hesitate to show off. He tasked them to organize the endless supply of records, CDs, and tapes. Edward and Beca proceeded with the task, even if all they could do was create smaller piles from the bigger piles.

"What kind of music do you listen to?" she asked.

"Classical music, mostly," he replied, busy on the task and not looking at her. "Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy..."

She snorted. "Anything from this century?"

"No."

"You're joking."

He frowned at a Weird Al record and put it away. "Not really."

"Seriously?" Beca had gotten in front of him and questioned, "What do you listen to then that's not composed by some old white guy?"

"I like music from the 1950s."

"Like Elvis?"

He nodded "Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Chuck Berry..."

She grinned. "Doo-Wop?"

"Sure." He almost sighed. "We should focus on organizing, though some of these have dust older than you."

"Older than us," she corrected. "We need a hand vacuum. Or a rag."

"I'll go look for something."

He volunteered to get some space from her. Her thoughts were quick, mostly playing music.

As he looked around the radio station for cleaning supplies, he wondered about how varied her music taste was.

Beca had joined the Barden Bellas, an all-female acapella group on campus. She told him about how one of the members, a redhead named Chloe, had cornered her in the showers. He tried to ignore the image in her head, unable to meet her in the eye. He didn't need to know what this Chloe girl looked like naked (but now he did and could never unknow).
