This is a second AU part in this little series where their feelings and situations are reversed.
Based on the scene from TVD 4x18.
I decided to continue on doing little role reversed drabbles cuz I find myself enjoying writing them way too much ;)

SALVATORE BOARDING HOUSE
-Blood.
Caroline needed blood.
Not just any blood, though. But the blood of Klaus Mikaelson.Yeah, it really sucks when an immortal creep comes showing up as someone you know, sneaks into your head to get whatever information he needs, and then sticks a syringe laced with werewolf venom into your skin.
Caroline was going to die and she knew it. She felt it.
She felt how the poison was spreading slowly through her veins, burning right from the spot on her neck -where the venom was injected in. It felt like the nerves that kept her standing were suddenly being sucked out dry, making her legs too numb to even stand straight.
She was on fire.
Or at least that's how she felt like.Somehow, the poison spread much quicker than the time she was bitten.
Much quicker.
Caroline was just glad she made it to the Salvatore's boarding house before the hallucinations kicked in.But how unlucky for her -neither Stefan or Damon were home. For a moment in between the shock and pain, the blonde had forgotten all about how Elena went hunting for the cure with Rebekah and that both of the brothers ran after them.
But it's not like Stefan or Damon would be able to help her with this anyways.
It was Klaus' blood that she needed. And if there was one thing Caroline did know, was that Klaus Mikaelson cared for no one's life other than his own, so there really was no point on calling him and begging him for his blood.
But for some stupid, stupid, reason, -she blamed it on the venom- Caroline picked up her phone once she started to feel the room spin in her sight, along with beads of sweat sliding down her forehead. With shaky fingers, she did her best to dial in Klaus' number correctly.
She didn't want to die, so she sure as hell won't let her pride stop her from living...well, not being physically dead. But then again, that's if Klaus decides to donate even a pinch of his blood to her.
She understood that it was a long shot, but she knows she'd regret it from the other side if she didn't at least try.
She was currently collapsed on one of the couches in the living room. Quiet gasps of shallow breaths continued to escape the blondes' dry lips as she clumsily searched her pockets for the damn device."And here I thought I've wasted my time coming here. This is quite a sight, may I say." Klaus' voice said from the doorway.
Caroline actually thought that she was hallucinating his voice until a pair of footsteps tapped louder with each taken step, and a shadow loomed over her. The blonde looked up to find a familiar pair of blue, amused-looking, eyes that were shamelessly taking in her appearance from head to toe.
Caroline felt a wave of relief, yet a surge of anxiety all at once. She was relieved that the one person who's blood could save her was here, but anxious -more like afraid, that the same exact person would let her die without even blinking.
The blonde swallowed, her throat feeling more dry than sand paper.
"Yeah," She rasped. "If it's anyone who would find death amusing, it would be you." Averting her eyes, she slid her hand out of the empty pocket of her jeans; there was no need in calling him now.
