"Natalie, you cannot date him! I forbid you!" Her father, Mr. Rockfield screamed disappointedly. Her hands balled into fists as she retaliated back.

"And why not, father? Just because he is not one of us?" she spat. She glared at her mom who simply gave her a disappointed shake of a head.

"He does not belong. The boy does not even have a diploma for crying out loud!" he sighed, hiding his face in his hands.

She shook her head and ran up to her room.

"Hey baby" she called after dialing his number.

"Hey baby girl. What's up, angel?" she smiled a bit at his voice.

"Nothing" she croaked, tears threatening to fall.

Ryan Thomas was not the kind of guy her parents wanted her to date. He had tattoos, could not afford to go to University (because his damn father had to leave him and his mom struggling), and he did not exactly have the good boy reputation. Her parents didn't exactly approve of his looks either.

She was Natalie Rockfield on the other hand - Harvard University student, campus president, and all around fashion model. She met Ryan when her friends introduced them to each other.

He was everything she did not imagine falling for but she loved him.

"You sure? I can hear you sniffing. I know you baby" he sighed, a bit of shuffling on the other end of the phone.

"Parents, again" she mumbled, laying back on her queen - sized bed. Ryan was used to the deathly stares Natalie's parents would give him whenever she took him to family events. He did not give a f*ck though.

Natalie was everything he wanted.

He did not need her money. He never did. All he needed was her.

AN: To my guy, you inspire me and I could never ask for anyone else but you. All you ever did was make me happy. I'll always fight. Promise.
