"Hey Yuuma!" Maehara Hiroto stood at the top of the mountain where the End class school building was located, looking down at his friend with that same cheeky grin he always wears. Isogai Yuuma was just trudging his way up, exhausted from the long trip. He smiled, however once he saw the mousy brown haired student.
"Hey hiroto, you okay?" Isogai panted, once reaching the top.
"Yeah I'm doing great man, I did'ya hear? Sensei has a special lesson for us today but he won't tell us what about!"
Excitement pooled in the ikemen's stomach. A special lesson? This was rare in class E, since the students needed to study and complete the mission of killing their teacher, Korosensei. "Did he not leave any clues about what it's about?"
"Not really bro, all I know is it's really vital we know about this, its super important."
Isogai nodded in understanding as the two walked through the crooked corridor to the old wooden classroom, lacking lights and proper school equipment. Everybody put down their bags and got out their school things, ready to find out what this 'special lesson' was all about.

The doors to the classroom opened, and in walked a weird yellow creature that looks a lot like an octopus. He turned to the class and began to speak.
"Good morning class! Today I have a very important lesson to teach you today. The lesson is all about car safety. Every year..."
Korosensei had zoned out in Isogai's ears. He turned sickly pale, and began feeling nauseated. But he needed to know, so he wouldn't make the same mistake that another had. The ikemen took a deep breath, and listened to his teacher speak.
"One of the main causes of death are by traffic accidents, class! ...Isogai, are you listening?"
Isogai jumped, he was listening, but only halfly. Memories were flooding in his mind, causing him to be unable to focus. "Ah? Y-yes sensei."
"If you were listening, you wouldn't mind telling me how much of a distance apart from the car in front of you, you need to be when stopping at a red light?"
Isogai froze, his cheeks turning red as the whole class stared at him. Maehara gave him a sympathetic look, he knew what this was all about.
Then Isogai felt himself tear up. He tried holding them back but it was no use. "C-can i be excused? Thank you." Before korosensei could respond, yuuma was out of the door. Maehara stood angrily, before yelling at korosensei.
"How can ya be so insensitive?! His father died in a traffic accident!" Maehara then groaned and stormed out of the classroom, shouting the other students name after him, and leaving the class to do and say whatever they so wished.

Isogai Yuuma was outside the school, looking off down the hill as tears rolled down his cheeks. He quickly wiped them away, however, once he saw his best friend run over.
"H-Hiroto? What are you--"
"I followed you. I can't have you sat out here on your own after having go through that. I want to just say that you need to know that your father is okay now, this stuff is vital to learn and needs to be known."
This just made isogai angry, and he stood quickly. "I'm trying! But you know what happened! Y...you were with me."
A lump appeared in the mousy brown haired boy as he thought about the memory. And he nodded.
Isogai took a deep a deep breath. "I want to go see him."
Maehara nodded. "Lets go then."
Isogai proceeded then to walk down the hill, maehara following behind.

"Dad, dad! Do you have to leave?! I want to show you something!"
"I'm sorry Yuuma, I've got to get to work. But I promise I will look at as soon as I get home."
Yuuma's father turned to walk out the door before the child shouted after him.
"I love you dad. Be safe."
"I love you too son."

"They were the last words my dad ever said to me. I guess I could think myself lucky that he said he loved me just before he died... but it's just so hard. I miss him, you know?"
Isogai looked down at the grave at his feet, his fringe coverimg his eyes. He looked completely different to how he normally was, his hair was flat, his eyes were watery, he had lost his positive demeanour.
"I understand. You and your dad were really close. Despite how he always had to work. Remember when I would visit and he would make us the best sushi for dinner?" Maehara flashed a smile, causing the corners of the ikemens lips to twitch.
"Yeah. And that time we were jumping on my bed and accidentally broke it. You were scared he would ban you from the house..!"
Maehara chuckled, looking at the grave. "Yeah. I remember that. Gah, your dad was great."
"Yeah."
Isogai reached his hand out, holding the others and lacing his fingers through theirs. Maehara held Isogai's hand without asking any questions.
"Hey uhm, maybe we should get back to class. Everybody would be worried."
Isogai nodded, before sighing happily and kissing his finger, placing said finger on his fathers gravestone. "Love you dad. See you soon, okay?"

Isogai and maehara made their way back to class, the lesson was finished, thankfully, and isogai gladly walked in. Nobody asked questions, but yuuma wouldn't have minded, because with a friend like maehara, he didn't mind what happened in his past, the present and the people around him were what mattered.
