Reckless

Prologue

"What the hell is she doing?!" One officer screamed. "She'll kill herself!" Another yelled. I looked on in panic as the girl I loved more than anything stood at the edge, looking over the city.

"Ciara, baby, come down. Please" I begged, not daring to take my eyes off her, even for a second. She pulled a cigarette out of its box, lit the end and raised it to her lips, taking a long drag.

"You don't get it Justin!" She screeched, pulling the stick away from her mouth. "I can't take it anymore!" Her eyes began to glaze over. "It's too much..."

"Hey, we can get through this, okay?" I murmured. "It'll all be okay. Just please. Come away from the edge..." I pleaded.

Taking another hit from the cigarette, she released a long sigh, the smoke seeping out of her nose in two thin lines. She glanced behind her, looking out onto the city. "I can't." She whispered.

"No baby come on, you can!" I reinforced. She glared back at me, throwing the butt of the cigarette onto the ground by my feet.

"No, Justin, I can't! Nothing's the same anymore! I wish we could go back to where everything was perfect- where everything wasn't so fücked up! I hate myself! I'm so stupid!" She faced the edge again, looking down to the crowd of pedestrians watching us. "I regret what I've done from the moment I've done it. But I can't take it back! I can't make it better! I can't do anything!"

Her eyes glazed over as the tears began to fall. "I'm so sorry Justin." She whispered, turning back to face me. "I'm so sorry for what I've done to you. I've ruined your life!" She choked on a sob as her knees began to tremble.

Taking a cautious step forward, I held my hand out for her. "No you didn't. You showed me that life was worth living. You showed me what it was like to let loose, to- to have fun, okay? You didn't ruin my life. You made it better! Please think about what you're doing" I begged.

She glanced between me and the edge, as if contemplating what she should do. "I'm so sorry" she whispered as a gasp left my lips.

Okay hi! So this is my first story so it may suck a bit at the beginning cause I'm still working out how to word stuff and all that but I promise it'll get better!

So after this, it'll rewind back to where they meet and stuff and will make its way up to this point. Basically that's the end of the story, but it'll have the outcome of what happens in it obviously lol

So basically I picture a blonde Halsey as Ciara cause she kind of has that vibe throughout the story lol you can picture whoever you want I guess, that's just who I picture. And obviously Justin is played by his sexy asf self!
