Ally's POV
This can't be true. It can't.
In a few minutes, my mom's going to wake me up to tell me dinner's ready, and everything will all be fine. I shake my head, pushing past the doctor, into the room.
Laying in the bed is my mother, motionless.
"Mom," I shake her shoulders lightly and plant a kiss on her forehead, tears rolling down my cheeks. "Mom, wake up. Mom, you have to wake up. It's me. Ally. M- Mommy?"
Realization hits me like a hundred bullets, and fall to the floor, holding my face, sobbing into my hands.
Sh- she's dead. My mother's dead. The one who looked after me. The one who always sat with me until I fell asleep, because I was scared there was a monster in my closet. The one who took me shopping for the perfect outfit for my first choir concert. The one who helped me get into the church choir. She's gone.
