Eggs

Easter Eggs.

It was the next chance to show Rin your feelings without being so bold. Now this time the plan was to make a special Easter egg; one that you colored a nice pink and blue so you'd know which one it was; and inside you put a tiny note, like one you would find in a fortune cookie, that said 'I love you' -(Y/N). Now you weren't going to be stupid and just put it anywhere! This egg had a note with YOUR name after all, not to mention this IS Rin Okumura we're talking about. The chance he'll find it out of all the others aren't as high as you want. Thus the plan was to put the special egg RIGHT.IN.FRONT.OF.HIM. Now how could he not miss it? If anything he'd step on it...which hopefully he wouldn't.

Now everyone was outside in a field near the school. Bon and Shima were talking and prepared for finding the most eggs. Shiemi was happily chatting with Rin and Yukio. Bingo. You strode over toward Rin as he already excused himself from the conversation seeing you. Smiling Rin held yp his basket, "Yo (Y/N)! Are you ready to see who finds the most eggs?!" Ah. So he was also in this little competition with the other boys. You shook your head. "No, I hide the eggs already so I can't this time." Rin frowned. "Awww...(Y/N) I was looking forward to beating you!" "Don't worry Rin, I know you'll find enough eggs." Rin suddenly moved close to you. Putting a hand in between your faces he whispered, "Think ya can tell me where some are?~" BONK. You hit Rin on the head and sat and waited from behind the others since the race was starting.

Shiemi having also helped hide eggs sat and waited next to you. "This is fun isn't it?" Shiemi smiled and clapped her hands together. "I can't wait and see who got the most eggs or what's inside them!" You smiled and glanced at Rin. "Me too." Yukio stood off to the side with his hand raised. On my mark get ready and find those eggs!...READY. SET. GO!!" Yukio quickly threw his arm down as the others raced off to find eggs. "Oh! I found one! Hahaha! Take that Bon!!" Just what you hoped. Now you didn't have to worry about the rest now that Rin had found your special egg.

The rest of the race consisted of Rin and Bon taking the race WAY too seriously and Shima getting hit in the head with an egg which was thrown in the crossfire of Rin and Bon. Now came the time where everyone would count their eggs, which would mean that Rin would see the special egg. Not wanting to seem to obvious you sat next to Yukio who was also looking at what his twin had found. Rin had pulled out 8 eggs so far, some cracked from the fight earlier and some undamaged. The little circle you all decided to sit in was filled with chatter on the victor of the race which happened to be Shima, since he wasn't part of the egg fight he managed to find all the other eggs. You watched as Rin was running out of eggs...wait..where was yours? He DID say he found one early off right? Scooting over towards Rin you whispered, "Hey Rin, where's that egg you found earlier?" Rin had a confused face. "You mean the first one I found? It's right here!" Rin held up a blue and yellow swirly colored egg. "I wonder what's inside.." Rin started to try and open the egg as you started to panic. Where was your egg?! Suddenly the idea of putting your name didn't seem so smart after all..but you HAD to find tha- " I LOVE YOU?!"

OH. CHEESE AND CRACKERS.

"(Y/N)??!" You slowly turn to the voice and the faces of everyone surrounding Shima and now looking at you. Red as can be you turned towards Shima and tried to explain yourself. "Look Shima, I really don't want to say this out in the open but maybe we-" Shima quickly shushed you in a hug. "Shuush..my (Y/N). I know your true feelings now and that's ok." You looked up towards Shima with a confused face. "U-uh.." was all you could muster out. Shima put on a dramatic show slinging his arm in front of his eyes. "Sadly..I'm in love with another girl..So we can never be.." Ok Shima. Please, stop. Shima gave you puppy eyes as he stared right at you. You quickly checked to see if anyone was still watching and...yup. Everyone still there. Great.. "Can we?" was all you heard. "W-what?" You looked back at Shima. He gave a small smile. "I said can we still be friends?" you sighed. By now you knew Shima knew that the note he had read wasn't meant for him. He being Shima just thought this would be a way to clear the confusion. Though it could have gone better. "Sure Shima...If I must." You then started to participate in the act by acting sad and slowly walking toward an empty space near Shiemi, who was giggling knowing the intended receiver.

Soon everything went back to normal. Everyone was eating candy from the eggs or talking about who Shima really was in love with. You had been chatting with Shiemi when you felt a tug on your clothes. Turning you saw Rin with a blank look on his face. "Rin?" Rin didn't move when you said his name, he just stood there. "Can you come with me real quick?" "Sure.." You felt a little unsure seeing Rin act like this. Anyways you followed him not to far away by some trees next to the field. "What di-" "You don't need him!" Rin suddenly burst out and kinda surprised you. "I'm..sorry?" You titled your head and he continued. "Shima..I mean. You don't need him. Your fine the way you are and you'll find someone that's right for you!" You were sure you just fell in love with Rin more. This guy really took that cheesy performance to heart. Plus now he was telling you know you could do better. This guy. Rin was fidgeting with his hands and had a small pink blush on his face. "I mean your beautiful and smart..and..." Suddenly realizing his words he turned tomato red. "N-NOT THAT I THINK THAT!! I-I'M JUST SAYING THIS FOR...OTHER GUYS!!! HEH HEH..." Scratching the back of his head he started laughing just like last time. He must do that when nervous..

Smiling you gave Rin a hug. "Thank you Rin. It's sweet that..OTHER GUYS think that." Rin just hugged you back as you guys started walking back to the rest of the group. Well, This plan didn't work but in a way it kinda helped? Oh well....though next time you were going to get this right. FOR SURE.
