I let out a low, deep, groan as the sound of my alarm clock blared through my newly furnished room, signalling that it was time for me to get ready for the first day back at school after spring break.
I threw the covers off me and slowly got to my feet as I harshly rubbed my eyes, making me see loads of weird, and dark illusions.
Sighing, I stumbled out of my room and into the bathroom where I let out a tiny yelp when I hit my pinky toe on the door as I walked in.
I muttered a few curse words under my breath as I reached the sink, and I could already tell that today was going to be a long day.

Before I continue on, I'll tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Lexi Carta, and I am one of your average teenage girls. I am neither in the "popular" nor "nerdy" group. I've never really had a problem with making friends, and I have always done pretty well in school.
My parents divorced when I was seven, and I have an annoying, shit-head of a brother, Jackson, who's 19, with myself being 16.
I live in Australia with mum, and go stay at my dads whenever I want to.
Jackson's now living in his own place, and goes to uni, so I don't get to see him as often as I used to.
I have blue-green eyes and dead-straight blonde hair. I stand a bit below the average height of a girl my age, I'm quite tanned and my body is fairly slim.

I sat in front of my mirror and lazily started applying some foundation.
And no.
I do not go all cake-face when putting on makeup, unlike a lot of girls my age do. I only do use it to cover up a few blemishes I have, as I can sometimes be very self conscience because of them.
I gripped ahold of my hair and was very grateful when I noticed that it was actually looking half decent today, so I decided to let it stay out, with it reaching just above my belly-button.
I stood up and took in my appearance, and was overall, pretty happy with how I looked. I wore my brand new, white, ripped skinny jeans, with a black v-neck, with it's sleeves reaching just above my elbows. I quickly slipped on my white chucks, then ran downstairs, to be greeted by my mum, and the amazing smell of bacon and eggs.
Just as I was about to greet mum with a good morning, she beat me to it. "Mornin' Lex. I'm going to need you to catch the bus today as I have an early meeting at work. I've made you some breaky, and have packed your lunch, so make sure you get to the bus on time. Alright. I better get going now, other wise I'll be late. Bye darl. Oh! And tonight we are going out to dinner with our new neighbours, the Edwards, so dress nicely for that. AAHHH. Ok. Bye now."
