I sat lazily hunched over on my desk, while listening to my Biology teacher, Miss Grenich and occasionally taking glances to my right, to where Zac sat.
Yes. I'm sitting next to him.
Not that I don't want to. But the main reason as to why I am is because we have to sit in assigned seating in Biology, in alphabetical order.. (Carta, Capper) Miss G is strict like that.
.
Today she wore her white, long sleeved blouse which was tucked into a dark green, mouldy coloured skirt that was worn up around her waste, and reached just above her ankles. Old, brown, tattered sandals were placed on her feet and her dry, grey hair sat awkwardly on her boney shoulders. She had unsuccessfully attempted at applying on some makeup, considering her face is bright orange, and the layers of eye makeup did nothing but make her look like she had gigantic bags under her dull, brown eyes. Lets just say she doesn't have the best taste in fashion.
.
"Now class. I have your assignment here that is due in three weeks time. You will be completing in pairs, both inside and outside of school," Miss stated, "The task is to show your understanding of the evolution in any form you like, whether it be a speech, PowerPoint, or something of you and your partners choice."
The whole class groaned, including me, before a scrawny boy, up in the middle of the front row shot up his hand. What was his name again? Sheldon? Steven? eh. It was something like that.
"Yes Sherman?"
Close enough.
"Will we be chosing our partners Miss?" Sherman questioned, in his high, screechy voice, making me wince at the sound of it. You would've thought he'd hit puberty by now...
"No you won't be!" she said, suddenly raising her voice, "you will be working with the person you sit next to and that's final. No excuses."
I swear, the slightest things get Miss G in a bad mood.
oh wait. That means i'll be working with...
I felt a small tap on my shoulder and slowly turned to my right where I saw Zac with a small smirk on his face.
"I guess you'll be working with me then." he smirked.
"I guess I am. But i'll warn you. Biology is one of my worst subjects, so don't get too excited."
"Don't worry, biology is one of my best. I'll make sure we go well." he said with a wink.
aannddd.. i'm blushing.

.
The bell sounded, signalling that it was the end of the day.
Thankfully, the day went by pretty quickly - mostly because I had Zac in all my classes today to keep me entertained.
I made my way out of my History classroom, and towards my locker, which was thankfully right outside the door, so I didn't have to walk far. I began chucking in the books that I didn't need and then yanked out the ones I needed for homework.
Argh. Homework.
As if seven hours of school wasn't enough.
I felt a two large hands being placed on my shoulders and then felt them swivel my body around rather quickly to face who ever this is.
I let out a giant scream as this happened, making everyone in the dimly lit corridor stare at me - making me feel highly embarrassed.
"Calm down Lexi!" I turned to see the one and only Zac Capper, who stood before me, still with both arms firmly holding my shoulders, holding a rather amused expression on his face.
