DWMA

Prologue

I looked up at the sky. Nice day. I looked at the school behind me. Nice school. I looked down at the city below me. Nice city. I looked around in my brain. Bad thoughts. The same thing kept popping up in my head. The last memory of my family. I sat down on the top step of stairs that separates death city and the DWMA (Death Weapon Mister Academy). Man it's a long way down. It sucked coming up here. I layed back on the floor. I looked at my hand. I had a lil badge with my name on it and what I was. I stuck it on myself and let out a big sigh. "Sigh, Great I'm the new kid this is gonna be super." I love sarcasm even if I'm the only one to hear it. I just enrolled into DWMA today thou I can't go to any classes until I find a partner. It may take days or months or even.... "Excuse me, are you a mister?" .... Seconds? I looked up to find a girl bending over looking at me. "Yea I am. Are you a weapon." I got to my feet and looked down at her. The girl was shorter than me and and had black hair. She didn't wear the school uniform like most of the girls here. She wore a black and white hoodie with a lil neko ear design on the hood. She had headphones around her neck too. She had on a black and gray skirt and to top it all off she wore gray stockings with black shoes. "Yes I am. My name is Amaterasu. Amaterasu Nakatomi." she gave me a soft smile. "What's your name?" I pointed at my name tag. "Names Takeda Takahashi at your service." I looked at Amaterasu. Closer at her. I looked into her soul. It was small but cute. It was a blue ball of gas. It had neko ears and headphones on. Well that tells me something about her. I focused back on her. I wanna know more about her than maybe I'll know if she can be my partner. "What weapon can you be?" she looked up at me with purple eyes. "Well what can you use?" I cracked my fingers and stretched my arms. "I'm... Adaptable." we sat down on the steps. We looked at the sun. Did it have teeth?...... Is it on crack!? I looked over at Amaterasu. She held out her hand at me. "Take it." I grabbed hold of her hand and she began to glow then changed shape. Now in my hand I held a sword..... Made of ice. I studied the blade. It was a very decent. Not bad. It was a lil heavy but it was easy to wield. I got up and a swung Amaterasu around. It felt right. I guess our souls are capable. "Cool, right." Amaterasu's voice boomed out the sword. I looked at the blade and saw a lil image of her....... Naked. Thou I didn't see anything even if I wanted to. I concentrated on her eyes. "Yea, nice pun too." She laughed. "So a sword huh? Not bad. And ice too." the blade glowed and changed shape. This time into a red and blade bow. "Oh I'm just getting warmed up." "Ok no more puns." "Kill joy." I draw back on the string and a fire arrow appeared out of no where. "How?" "The arrow is a very small portion of my soul. Its like a endless supply...... Sorta." I aimed up and I let of the string and let the arrow fly through the sky. "Wow that's..." ".....Hot?" "Please stop." I tossed the bow in the in the air and Amaterasu changed back to her girl form and landed in front of me. "So what do you think?" I looked at her again. I patted her head. "I think its amazing." she pushed my arm off. "Are we partners then?" she held out her hand. I took her and we smiled at each other. "Yea, for sure."

(3 months later)

A thing.... Some creature was just sitting there, eating in a dark. I can tell what it was eating even from up here. It was eating innocent souls. I looked at the creature. Deeper into it. Its soul was a bright evil red. Its arms were just blades of steel and had a hooky mask, wait.... The mask was it's face. A mouth and everything, like it fused with it. I gripped my partner in her bow form. "Gross. Its a weapon. Corrupted." I felt her soul wave link go shaky. "You ok?" Now her soul wave link was steady. "I'm fine let's just do this." I lifted up my scarf. "Right." I pulled back and released a fire arrow and hit the corrupted weapon in its back. With where I am on top of a roof it's easy to snipe it. It looked up at us and growled. It shot more arrows at it, but it jumped from wall to wall climbing up to get us. It jumped up ready to strike. "Sword mode!" Amaterasu changed into an ice sword. The creature brought down it bladed hand. I blocked it with easie with Amaterasu. It raised its other hand to chop my head off. It kicked it in the gut to get it off me. It snarled at me. "Bow mode." she changed back into her fire bow. It ran at me in raged. I shot it in the shoulder and it cried in pain. I ran up and step on it knee than another on it chest then I push my foot down on it face and jumped in the air. It he fell to the ground and I shot four arrows. Two stabbed his feet and nailed him to the roof and on it shoulders. Now it can't more out the way. "Now!" "Right!" she changed back in to a sword and we fell and her blade landed right on his face. With that his body broke down to nothing. All that remained was a red ball of gas. I got to my feet and held out Amaterasu and she turned back to human form. I let go of her hand. "Nice work back there." "I try." she walked over to the red soul and gripped it. "And now for my reward." and she swallowed it in one go. "Phew. Thanks for the meal." I walked over and rubbed her head. "He it was free so no prob." she punched my arm and we shared a laugh. "How do souls taste anyways?" she put a finger to her lip and looked up at the night sky. "Hmmmm, it's hard to put in words, but think of a really good meal. Its different depending on where it came from but always taste great." I don't get it but whatever. We walked and jumped from roof top to roof top. "Shouldn't we check with Lord death?" I landed on the roof and pulled out a lil mirror. I blow a puff of air to fog it up. With my finger I wrote and said- "42-42-564 when ever you wanna knock on deaths door" the mirror glowed and showed a lil image of Lord death. "Hello? Lord death are you there?" and tall black figure with a white mask appeared. "Yes hello? Ah! Takeda how did the mission go?" I tilted the mirror so he can see Amaterasu. "No problem we're fine. We're heading to death city now." "That's good. So that's 16 souls now. Am I correct? You two are doing great." I tilted back to me. "Thank you Lord death. We should be back soon." and with that the mirror cleared up and I saw myself. I put the mirror away. "We should get going." "I'll give you a head start slow poke." I gave her a lil laugh. "By all means ladies first." "Ok." She ran at top speed from roof to roof. "Hey!" I ran after her. 16 down, 83 more souls to go.
