I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off on my phone. Crap. It's Monday. I got up out of bed and decided to dress nice for school today. I squeezed into a pair of skinny jeans, slipped on a t-shirt and black Toms. I straightened my hair and applied a little bit of makeup. I finished getting ready and headed out the door.
I got into my car and put the key into the ignition. My phone started ringing. I looked to see who was calling:
INCOMING CALL FROM: Dad.
I debated on whether I should answer it or not. I decided to.
"Hello?"
"Bentley where the hell are you? I came over last night to give you money but you weren't there to get it."
"I was at a friends house dad."
"You should've stayed at home! You are such a spoiled brat! You get everything you want!" He screamed.
"Dad! You and mom are always gone! I practically live alone! It sucks! I have to buy my own groceries, clothes and everything else! I don't have everything because if I did, I'd have two loving parents who freaking care about me but no I'm stuck at the age of 16 living alone. Thanks dad. What a great father."
"See! This is what I'm talking about! You're spoiled! If you aren't home the next time I have time to come give you money guess what? You aren't getting any Bentley." He said as he smashed the phone down on the table.
I clicked 'Cancel Call' and put my phone on the dash and headed to school.
I arrived at school and just sat in my car. I put my head on my wheel and quietly cried. I couldn't believe my dad thought I was a spoiled brat... He doesn't even know me. I heard a tap on my window and I wiped my eyes and saw Matthew standing outside. I unlocked my doors and he hopped in the passenger seat. "What's wrong? Why are you crying?!" "Nothing it's just issues with my family." I said. "Well what can I do to help?" Matthew asked. "Nothing. I think I'm just going to skip school and go do some girl stuff for once." I stated. Matthew smiled and reached over and hugged me. "If you need anything don't bother to call. Be safe" he called as he closed the door.
I spun out of the parking lot. I have all day to myself. What should I do?
