PART 10 BRINGING MY BRIDE HOME

Soham saw the girls sleeping... head resting on each other...... the drive to their destination  was about two hours.through heavy traffic... and all the way  through, the girls did not stir at all....Soham made a few calls and  watched the miles go by.....the girls woke up at last and stretched their tired limbs.Charmaine longed for a hot shower while Kalpi became wide eyed as she looked out at acres of green surrounding her....it was plush green...and sunny....a feeling of warmth flooding her soul............the bitting cold of london left behind and here she was in a land..,Mrs Madhu had talked about.and she  had not lied to her....the countryside was so beautiful.tall trees line up on both side of the less busy road."where are we going  Soham"?'..enquired Kalpi........."oh  you girls are awake''we are almost there''replied Soham as the  taxi took a left turn to a sign board which Read  Chattapur. South Delhi..the view was beautiful as the taxi moved further..............Kalpi took out her digital camera and began recording......as she watched she saw   lorries  stacked with vegetable pass by".Oh My God ! shrieked Charmaine.we are going to live in the jungle"..............and for that statement Charmaine earned a pinch from Kalpi...at this point soham  cleared his throat"..emmm'Farmland' to be exact''he replied.Charmaine put her head down, pretending to cringe in shame  then burst out laughing.The taxi stopped in front of a huge  three storey  building......." hey  where are the cows and bullockcarts.?..Charmaine found her tongue again.........turning her head to the left and right...."soon we will  go and visit all the  farm animals" replied.....Soham and carried the bags into the house....the front yard was  very colourful with streamers and baloons  and Rangoli,........and Kalpi was awed she whipped out her camera again and started recording.....when the girls stepped into the house two maids arrived with a huge tray, a red  piece of embroiderd cloth covering  something beneath......Miss  please shower  and wear this attire..... ..The girls were shown a huge room with modern facilities...."Kalpi  i honestly thought we are going to draw water from a well......"  Charmaine spoke.as Kalpi removed the cloth from the tray.....and found  the most  beautiful chiffon Lenga suit in soft yellow'......" oh my god this is so beautiful....."  she exclaimed.....there  were matching Kangan (bangles)..Jumka.(earings)......and Indian slippers    for both the girls....Kalpi was so excited as she held the soft suit.....while Charmaine was not so enthusiastic about the outfits....." now charmaine we are guests here, so  it is best we are curteous toward our host......Kalpi  unzipped her bag and took out .......her small toileteries pouch and  locked herself in the bathroom.........................................................
