[KITTY DESIK]
I sat in my red tent at my desk. I was sorting through my letters. Let's see, over two hundred letters from people I don't know. My fingers are set ablaze as I start burning for all letters that are similar (sweet little charm I made to sense similar writings) and I read through the others. Bills. Bills. Renting offers. Bills. Sorcery deposit required for next year. Why does everybody think I have a lot of money? Lanvi has been in his tent for a while. I heard a lot of noise from within when I was walking past earlier and he has spent the entire rest day in there. Leon has been in the forest all day shooting random monsters. I had a little walk through the town. Drank at least thirty-four cups of coffee. Rest days are awesome. I get to drink a lot and a lot of coffee. Now I'm in my camp sorting through my mail. What's this? My recent message on Eag-All has surpassed three thousand likes. My popularity keeps on growing Eag-All. I had a sip of my thirty-fifth cup of coffee and suddenly I felt drowsy. This is bad. This is- I black out.
I wake up chained to the wall. My mouth is glued shut. Literally. The kidnapper was smart. Stealthy as well since I made that cup of coffee in my tent and stayed in there afterwards. Discrete drop of Lock Down Poison to make me faint. Probably invisible and put it in as I had my back turned. I can see the rift in the air when invisible people move. Anyways, the Mouth Glue Spell was spot on, not letting me talk. The room is so dark I can't make out anything. My hands are wrapped in a sort of bandage so I can't even feel the texture of the wall or floor. Nor can I do any magic. The door opens and a robed figure walks in. A hood over the head as well. An One-Way Helmet or just stone covering the face. Probably the first one though. The feet are covered by a sort of fabric that also covers the hands. The hooded figure presents something to me.
A blank piece of paper. A magical piece of paper probably. That guess was from the fact letters magically appeared on the paper.
"I see you've woken up." What gave you that idea? Can't be my eyes moving. Or my head. Or me in general trying to find a fault in this faultless bondage. The words magically disappear to be replaced by new letters. "We've taken every precaution and ran through every situation. There will be no escaping, Miss Desik." Great. Just brilliant. The words are wiped after a few seconds. Replaced with: "We have been observing you for a long time, Miss Desik. We have seen how you deal with these sorts of problems." What a bunch of stalkers. Also, what's this 'we'? Are there more of them? "We have even made sure to properly contain you. Your smart disguise will not work. You can't get through us be pretending to be innocent and cute." Well, that's kinda hard anyways with a Mouth Glue Spell and whole body in chains. "Stop struggling. It's pointless. We also have your friend locked up. He was hard to catch but he's in captivity too. There's no way you could escape. Soon we'll put you and your friend on the Slave Market." My Sorceress teacher always said 'Never give up hope' so I won't. There must be an oversight in this. Somewhere.
Bang. Bang. On the door. Another hooded figure approached and whispered something. Slave market. Captivity in a dark wall. Hooded figures. I know where I am. And it's bad. If I'm correct I'm in the infamous Kidnapper's Keep. My Sorceress teacher also said something about making sure not to be taken to here. The spare figure left and closed the door. The first one turned to me. "Ha ha. It seems we already gotten a buyer. Your friend is going to be sold to an army of Jyol." I haven't been to Jyol because of the recent conflicts but from what I've heard it's a dangerous area bordering the Quicksand Desert and Thunderous Badlands. It has a rough terrain and in a middle of a civil war. People in support of slavery against those who oppose it. No doubt which side Leon and Lanvi are going to. "Why so serious? Can't handle being captured like a little songbird? You've already escaped from us once. That was an oversight because of the old management. We will not be as lenient this time." With that the figure left. Leaving me in a dark room with no idea of what will happen. I could escape if the buyer is an idiotic goofball but there wouldn't be enough time to get to the Terra Guardian. An ancient horror is going to unfold and I'm powerless against these bloody chains.
I woke up to the sound of screams. A hooded figure appeared in my room and locked the door. The figure took off the hood and long, black hair flowed down the back. The figure took off the cloak to reveal a slender person wearing black shorts and a black, blank polo shirt. The figure turned away and slapped me. Ow. The figure had yellow eyes that looked furiously into me. The figure was female. Smart choice.
"Argh! Why wasn't I informed of a second friend?" She screamed in frustration. She pulled out a sword. "Your friend is a ferocious, tin monster destroying everything. Since you're going I might as well finish you off." She put he point of the sword onto my neck. Just the tip, really. She put it back and then started to thrust forward. "What a shame your friend won't be here to see you die."
