Rihanna's POV

While walking out of my University College thinking about the four days left until my birthday, my best friend, Maire Jole, runs up to me and wraps her arm around my neck. "Heyy, Riri." Riri was my nickname, short for Rihanna.

"Hey, what you been up to?" I asked.

Maire put on a devilish grin. Then, she screamed like a fangirl, "Ahhh! Girl, I got myself tickets to Chris Brown's concert in three days." She said excitedly, while doing a cute dance.

"You're a 23 year old woman screaming like a teenager for a concert. I guess his music is worth listening to, but his current thing just isn't my style. Don't blame me though, I've always liked old songs that nobody knows the words to."

Maire just laughed and said, "Wow, so old school. Kick the can and put your feet on the table. Listen, you are coming with me that night and you aren't saying no. I'll bring you my gift from me to you when we meet up." She smiled and added a wink just for the fun of it.

Maire was always happy and could bring a dead flower back to full bloom. We first met a little bit before my depression, so we're high school buddies and she knows all about me. It wouldn't be wrong to say she knows me better than I do myself.

As we walked down the school steps, a black van stood before the school. Our school is not too big and not too small. We get a lot of guest speakers that come and speak on the stage. I would normally go, but today I'm busy.

Today's speaker wasn't announced beforehand, so I don't really know who it is nor do I have space in my schedule to squeeze in a lecture.

Maire and I just kept chatting and walking, until the black van's door opened and out stepped her bae. Maire screamed and just ran to the van. It was Chris Brown. What's up with this lack of loyalty, Maire? The girl was just too much to handle sometimes.

I started walking away, but suddenly stopped. I've never seen him up close before. How nice it would be to meet my best friend's unrequited love. I smiled and laughed a little at the sound of that.

I got a little close, but suddenly changed my mind seeing the big crowd. I yelled out to Maire, "Bye, girl! I've got things to do!" I waved.

I knew she wouldn't respond, but it doesn't hurt to say goodbye.

Does it really not hurt... To say goodbye? Suddenly I heard a voice in my head, my mind was shaky and unstable. It was saying, goodbye... if it's fate... we'll meet again... I won't forget you... My body couldn't take it all. I fell to the floor. Fighting to breathe and gasping for air.

I heard footsteps running towards me and rapidly too. "Rihanna!?!?" Oh no, the voice, it was here again. "Come to me! Come on, I finally see you again... and this is how we meet?" The voice in my head was at it again and there was no stopping. The words clawed and pulled me. I couldn't take it anymore. Too weak to stand my post. I fell victim to this voice.

Chris Brown's POV

I was invited to come to this college and give the students a chance to hear about me and my life story. I didn't think much happened in my life, but the people love me and I can't let them down. Even if it was a late request.

I have my concert in a few days and I should be practicing, but I have the confidence that I'll do well regardless. Right, Rihanna? I won't make a mistake because I know you'll be by my side watching. Close by or maybe far away. Wherever you may be, I'll stay happy.
