Chapter 2

I wake up the next morning with Alice on my chest. 'Hey Ali Cat' I say smiling. 'Good morning' she says turning over and leaning her head on her arms. 'What's the time?' I ask. 'About mid-day, you slept since midnight.' I shrug, 'cool, so what have you got planned for us?'

'Master Aro wished to see us' she sighs pulling me up off the bed. 'Kay, let me get dressed' I kiss her on the cheek then go to the dresser and take out my robe, black jeans and a black teeshirt. I shove them on and turn back to Alice, who's dressed similarly.

We walk hand in hand towards Aro's public chambers. The door opens before we can knock and Felix holds it for us. 'Thanks' I say as we walk in.

Aro is sat on his sofa with his wife. He smiles at us as we walk in. 'Master' we say together as we bow. 'Ah Alice and Bella, yes I called to see you. I have a job for you, just wait for Jane and Alec to arrive.'

A mission? Yay! And with the terror twins, this could be fun. Especially with Alec and Jane, they are quite fun!

Suddenly Jane is at my side. Alec to her side. 'Master' they say in unison. 'Now that you are all her I have a mission for you. In Texas there have been rumors of some newborn army's I need you to go out there and see what is going on. Then put a stop to it. You leave immediately, I have a private plane to fly you out there waiting at the airport.' I glance at Alice we're both smiling madly.

'Why can't we run?' Alec asks stupidly. 'Because your taking Bella, she can't swim underwater for long and if someone sees a giant grey wolf swimming they might get a little freaked' Jane explains in a duh tone. 'That makes sense, lets go then' Alec claims as Aro dismisses us.

After a long flight we finally land in Texas. At the airport instead of cars outside there are 4 horses with 'Volturi' written on the tether. There's a note there too. I tear it off: 'do not eat' I read aloud. We all start to laugh. 'He does know they probably won't let us three on doesn't he?' Alice asks. 'I don't know what he knows' Jane admits.

I'm the first to climb on my horse, a white stallion. He stands comfortably under me. Alice gets on a white mare, which bucks her immediately. I stick my tongue out at her and reach out for the reins. The horse bucks again but she manages to stay on.

Next I hold Jane and Alec's horses reins. They both have black horses, Jane has a mare and Alec has a Stallion.

After about an hour the horses have calmed down and we begin to ride through the desert. I notice the vampires haven't got any skin showing. The sun is just visible in the sky so I halt my horse. 'I'm going to phase' I say tying my horse to a tree.

I return in wolf form and notice all the horses gone. I bark and cock my head. 'Someone came to take them away' Alice explains. I look at the twins who are frozen, oops I forgot they've never seen me like this. 'Guys she doesn't bite' Alice says.

I trot up the them, noticing I'm taller then both. I lick Janes face and she springs to life. 'Yuck! Bella why?' She groans. I bark then turn to Alec, he jumps out the way and up into the tree.

I smile turning back to Alice. I use one of the signals we made up to show I want to race. 'She wants to race' Alice says smiling. They probably thought they were faster, but they aren't. Vampires wouldn't be my enemy's if they were faster. 'Ok lets race then' Jane says with a childish smile.

She heads off north. Alice smiles competitively as she races off. I draw back then with a short howl I sprint off. I catch up to Alice and bark before breaking ahead of her, so I'm beside Jane. She looks at me warily but pushes herself faster. I put extra power on my hind legs and run straight past her.

I don't stop until I come to a lake when I pull up to a halt centimetres from the water. I'm panting heavily but I don't care as I  glance down at the water triumphantly. Suddenly I go ploughing into the water, making a splash. I push to the surface to see Alice, Jane and Alec laughing above me. I jump up but miss then by a few inches.

After a few more tries I give up and turn around until my paws land on some raised earth. I smirk as I launch myself onto the bank and push Alice in with my muzzle. She grabs out and holds onto Alec and Jane, who fall down with her. I stick my tongue out as I jump back in. Alice and Jane squeal as I splash them with my paws.

After I've got out I walk over to a tree, still in wolf form. I curl up and drift into a light sleep.
