Brooklyn moon
Today they were taking everyone to the lab they didn't tell us exactly what was happening.

One of the society members sent a news cast saying they were doing brain scans.

"Brooklyn don't worry." Gordon says placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Something doesn't feel right something's wrong I know it." I reply looking up into his beatiful green eyes.

He presses his lips together trying to think of what to say.

"Society members are secretive there all very snobby you probably just have anxiety." He tells me.

I nod. "Probably."

"Section E please make your way to the lab for scans." The street intercom blasts out.

"Thats us." I sigh climbing off my couch and leading Gordon out the door.

His kisses my cheek. "I love you."

"I love you to." I reply.

I didn't like how he said it. I felt like he was saying goodbye.

We got in my dad's car and drove to the labs. There were several other cars surrounding the building.

"We're here." I say parking.

We sit in silence for a moment before making our way into the buliding. There was a long line of about 60 people that led up to the testing room.

Each section had about 200 people in it. The limit of people in a section is 300 if we go over it they start killing the oldest citizens. Since they've already lived most of there life the society members decide to start killing them off so our section won't get to crowed.

"Your shaking." Gordon whispers in my ear. I try to stay still but my nerves get the best of Me.

He wraps his arms around me and rocks us back and forth. I take a deep breath trying to calm down.

After waiting another twenty minutes It was my turn to go in.

Gordon kisses me and I smile at him before I walk in. The man at the desk pricks my finger taking a blood sample then a nurse comes and pulls me to a hospital bed that was laying in the middle of the room.

I lay across it and a doctor comes towards me smiling. "Don't worry Brooklyn were just going to do a few test them a brain scan." He tells me.

I nod and close my eyes waiting for it to be over.

They hook a bunch of wires to my head and connected them to a monitor. I open my eyes to see what's going on. I wasn't suppose to. I've been getting lab test since I was five the main rule was never open your eyes. They never told us why though.

I look at the monitor and see little flashes of my life. Gordon's sixth birthday party, my brothers funeral, my sister getting arrested, Gordon yelling at me for wanting to run away, Gordon talking to me today about how everything was going to be ok. It didn't seem like it.

They were taking my memories and I had no idea why.

I close my eyes back hopeing no one saw me. "Alright were done you can go." The doctor tells me.

I jump off the bed and run out the door. "Gordon we need to leave." I tell him. He looks at me confused.

"Why what's w-

"Alright who's next?" The nurse asks.

Gordon gives me an apologetic look before he walks in. I sigh and sit in one of the chairs waiting for him.

All I can do is hope the society's not trying to start over again.
