Unexpected

Chapater 1

Lydia wakes up to the beaming sound of her alarm clock going off. But she just ignored it and hit the snooze button she already knew it was a wake up call for the first day of school and she was definitely not ready for that. She just recently moved to California because of her moms woke. The alarm went of once again and she Once again hit snooze and just laid in her bed not wanting to get up. Lydia heard someone go in her room but just as she was about to open her eyes she saw her mom opening the blinds. Basically blinding Lydia when she opened her eyes.
"Really mom are you trying to blind me?" Lydia says annoyed.
"Come on first day of school"  her mom said pulling the bed sheets off Lydia.
"I don't want to go" Lydia says getting up.
"Well I'm not giving you a choice." Lydia moms says leaving the room. Great Lydia thinks to herself this day is going to be the worst. Another school year with no one to talk to, no friends. Lydia thought to herself no I'm not going to sit here and throw myself a pity party. I'm going to stand out more this year and I'm going to have friends. Lydia was lost in her own thoughts until she heard her mom scream to go down and get breakfast. Lydia looks at the time and sees its almost time to leave so she grabs her backpack and rushes downstairs. When she gets downstairs her plate is already sitting at the table. She took her seat across her twin sister, they don't get along very well they're always fighting. They don't look alike at all they're !!!!! twins. Lydia was sitting down eating her pancakes when she look at the time. she got of her seat, kissed her mom on the cheek and rushed to the door.
"Come on Nicole we're going to be late." Lydia says looking at Nicole who's on her phone and rolls her eyes.
"I'm coming" Nicole says clearly annoyed and gets up. Both Lydia and Nicole walked to the bus stopped together but not talking.
"So are you ready for the first day of school?" Lydia says trying to make small conversation. They both see the bus stop is right up ahead and there's about ten people waiting for the bus. Nicole doesn't answer Lydia she just keeps looking at her phone. "I'm a bit scared." She saying giving a little shy smile. Lydia saw the people at the bus stop staring and she instantly got shy. She hated being shy but she also couldn't help it. Lydia saw the bus coming from the corner of her eye and she went a little bit closer to her sister. "Why are these people staring so much?" Lydia whispered to her sister she didn't want other people to hear her.
"Probably because we're new and stop talking to me we're in public." Nicole said moving away from Lydia. That comment didn't really affect Lydia because she was used to her sister being like this. All Lydia did was smile at her apologetic and got on the bus. The bus arrived at the school quick as Lydia got of the bus she looks around. Lydia lol ahead and saw the school, it was big, bigger then the last school she attended. She walked in to see what classes she got, she goes up to a table that had a lady handing out papers.
"Name?" The lady says
"Lydia Martin"
"That's a very nice name" the lady said smiling at Lydia. Lydia gave her a quick smile and then the lady handed her a paper. Lydia said thank you and look at her paper first class English. She was walking down the hall and look up real quick to look for the number A-23. Which was the room number of her first class, when she look up she saw this boy who was beyond hot. Lydia's mouth drop open and a girl walked past her and gave her a look.
"Stop drooling he'll never go for someone like you." The girl said. Lydia was embarrassed her first day and she already mad a fool of herself.
"Don't worry she's like that to everybody" a boy that was near me said "You shouldn't waste your time and try with him" the stranger said pointing to the hot guy. Lydia thought the stranger was cute to but she didn't know where this conversation was going. "He only cares for him self" Lydia blushed still embarrassed of the whole situation.
"Thanks for the warning." I say giving the stranger a smile. "My names Lydia." Lydia says starting to walk and he walks beside her.
"My names Shawn." The stranger who has a name now says. " What's your first class?" Shawn asked
"English" Lydia simply said walking towards the class.
"We have first block together." Shawn says smiling.
"Well I think you I officially made a new best friend." I say at Shawn and he nods.
They both head to class together making small talk. When they get to class Lydia notices that her sister Nicole is there.She signs to herself this day just keeps getting better and better, Lydia was hoping not to have a class with her sister. She couldn't stand her she always thinks she better then everyone was else. The bell was about to ring but someone came rushing in. Oh my Lydia thought to herself it's the hot guy from earlier, the teacher looks at him with a disapproving look.
"Well almost being late already on the first day I see" she looks at the paper in his hand to look for his name. "Stiles please have a sit." She says pointing to an empty chair, which Lydia realized it was right beside her. Honestly she died a little inside, she got nervous how close he was to her now and she sunk in her sit. Stiles gave her a weird look but she just shrugged it off.
"Um are you okay?" He said trying to hold back his laughter because she was being so obvious to the whole situation. Lydia noticed she was making it obvious and sat up straight.
"Yes I'm fine" she give Stiles a shy smile and looked up ahead to pay attention to the teacher.
"Okay since this is the beginning of school and most of you might not know each other" the teacher says looking around the room "I'm giving you all a project to work on" Lydia automatically looked at Shawn and he did the same. Lydia could see everyone looking around the room agreeing who there partners were going to be then the teacher said "in groups of three." Lydia looked around who else would be in the group she thought of asking her sister but she denied herself that possibility. "And I will be picking partners." The teacher said while picking up roll call and calling at 3 names at a time. Lydia was wondering who the people she was going to get paired up with. Her fingers were crossed hoping she'll at least have Shawn in her group. She started listening to the teacher when she heard Stiles name.
"Stiles" the teacher said "Lydia" and she continued "And Shawn"
