He puzzled over everything. She was his best friend, and there she was, siding with his enemy. 'How did it even happen?' he thought to himself. Still in the forrest of Jeng's remote estate, Sion found himself perched on a branch, in deep reflection of the events as of late. He felt every feeling he had for Tanvi rush back, and it overwhelmed the hellspawn to the point where he had not the slightest clue as to what he would do next. He wanted his revenge against Jeng, but he didn't want to hurt Tanvi.
Choices, choices...
"Jeng, are you alright?" Tanvi asked noticing the bruises Jeng had hosted. She went over and checked up on him. "Yeah, I'm all good, just a few bumps and scratches." he replied. Tanvi had examined the marks carefully. Luckily Jeng was not cut, but he was bruised nonetheless. The worst bruise was probably the one on his neck as it was slightly swollen, thanks to Sion. "How did it happen anyway?" she asked, not taking her eyes off of his bruises. "I honestly don't know, but I'm really sure I saw a ghost." he chuckled awkwardly. "And this 'ghost' beat the crap out of you?" Tanvi smirked while looking at his bruised neck. "You can't exactly hit a ghost," Jeng replied defensively, "and besides, you saw it." Tanvi thought for a while. She did see the figure, but she didn't see it disappear. She thought that the figure looked exactly like Sion, except he looked pale and skinnier. Upon seeing him, all their memories rushed back and Tanvi got caught up in it. She was instantly brought back to reality when she heard a loud scream from Jeng, and looked to see the figure gone. At first she managed to convince herself that she was seeing things, but after Jeng spoke about a ghost, she was not so sure anymore.
Sion's death had left an impact on her, and it sent her into a pit of depression. She isolated herself from everybody, and cried herself to sleep. Her best friend was gone. She just couldn't get over it. During this time Jeng had tried to get into Tanvi's comfort zone by being there for her during this stressful time, but he was shut out countless times. This did, however, make him more determined, and eventually Tanvi let him in and he became her shoulder to cry on. As time passed they became really close. Jeng asked her if she'd like to move in with him, and after thinking about it, she accepted. She didn't see the harm, until now. She never thought that the guy she lived with would get a visit from an apparition of the guy he murdered. Then again, she never thought this because she never knew that Jeng was involved in Sion's death, and 3 years later Jeng had still managed to keep his secret, secret.
She examined Jeng's wounds once more, and after some time, she decided she would clean up the mess. Jeng saw what she was trying to do and didn't approve. "Tanvi, don't worry about it, I'll ask one of the servants to clean up." he said. "No it's okay, I'll clean up. Besides, I don't want the servants to know what happened, they'd freak out." she replied. As much as he didn't want Tanvi to worry about chores, this time she had a point. He didn't want anybody in the mansion to stress, and he did expect Sion to show up again, and decided he would take care of the problem personally. "Alright then, but be quick about it. I don't want anybody to worry about anything. Besides, maybe there was no ghost, I was just seeing things and was just a little clumsy." he chuckled. Tanvi smiled, but it faded away as she looked at the floor deep in thought. "Hey, you okay?" Jeng asked a little concerned. "What if it wasn't a ghost?" she asked looking up. Jeng looked at her. He knew it was Sion, and realised Tanvi had seen somebody. He hoped that she didn't know it was Sion because possibilities were that if Tanvi knew that Sion was around, she'd go looking for him, and if he were to shed some light about his death, Jeng would never be able to win Tanvi over. "Don't worry about it. Look, I don't want you to stress over anything. It probably was nothing anyway." he said as he walked away. Tanvi smiled at him and began cleaning up. She gathered broken wood from the smashed coffee table, and wiped the floor. While wiping she noticed something odd.
Blood.
She remembered while examining Jeng, she noticed that he only had bruises, but was not cut in any way. She looked at the blood stains on the floor and noticed 2 things. Firstly, the blood didn't look normal, it was black. It was to thin to be oil and too thick to be colored water. Secondly, there was a blood trail.it was a small puddle where she was, meaning the person stood there for a few seconds. She followed the trail where there were tiny drops leading up to a large puddle. This is probably where he stood before Tanvi saw him. She was a little scared because the person sort of vanished before her eyes, leading her to believe there was a ghost. There was, however, one problem...
Ghosts don't bleed...
Jeng dialled the number carefully and waited patiently. "Hello?" asked a voice on the other end of the line. "Yeah it's Jeng, is she there?" "Yes she is, I'll get her for you." the voice replied. "Thanks." Jeng replied.
'Who could it be?' Tanvi thought to herself. She flopped on her bed, thinking hard. She thought about what she had seen and th... she knew who it was. She argued with herself for some time. 'Sion is dead, but then again ghosts can't bleed. Has he been alive all tjos time?' she wondered to herself. She didn't know what to think. Her best friend who she thought was dead is still alive. 'Why would he not have come out earlier? Wait, why did he come here? How did he disappear?' she mentally asked herself a million questions. It didn't matter to her that he didn't come out though, her best friend was alive. She needed to find him, but how? She tried dialing his cell, but no answer. She didn't know what else to do. She hadn't seen him in what seemed to be forever, and really missed him. How would she get through to him though? Was it even really him? She decided to dial his house phone. It went to voicemail. At least it meant that somebody had paid the telephone account, which meant that Sion might still be there. "Hey, Sion if you're there I need to see you. Meet me at the park tomorrow at 12. I really miss you." she spoke into the phone. "Hey, I was just wondering if Sion still lives there. Sion, if you do please come to the park tomorrow at 12 I just have to see you. If Sion doesn't live there anymore please give me a call. Thanks." All she could do now was hope that it was Sion still living there. Guess she'd have to wait till tomorrow to find out.
"Yeah Tanvi, I'll see you there." Sion said to himself after hearing his voicemail. He decided to go back to his old place because as much as he wanted his revenge, he couldn't hurt Tanvi that way. Also, he would never go back to hell, it was out of the question. He didn't really pay to reinstall his telephone account, he figured that he'd settle back down and try to live a normal life, which was pretty much impossible, yet he tried. He seeped into a computer at the telephone help centre and hacked it into having all his accounts for free. He basically sat at home because he knew if he was out in public, he'd cause chaos, and sometimes he felt it was something he needed to do. After hearing that Tanvi wanted to meet him, he felt a bit reluctant at first because he knew that if he met her, all he's emotions would rush straight back. Then again, he did want to know why she was with Jeng in the first place. He let out a low growl at the thought of his name. 'Jeng.'
Jeng
"Is that all you need?" A mysterious voice asked over the phone. "Yeah, it is, thanks. I really appreciate it." The line went dead and Jeng smiled to himself. Everything was only beginning.
