Chapter 5

We finally arrived at my house, quickly dropped Leo in at Granny and Gramp’s, and introduced Liam. I led the way to my small guest house and unlocked the door. It wasn’t much but it was mine and I would be perfect for when the baby came. I had a full kitchen with a four seat table to eat at, a full bath that also had a door connecting it to my decent sized bedroom, a living area, and the laundry room was located in the main house. When I first moved in here I repainted everything to make it bright and welcoming. The kitchen was a pastel yellow with white trimming, the bath was aqua with a beach theme, and my bedroom was all pink in welcoming my new baby girl.  The living area was bright lime green with white and black furniture and was equipped with a TV, DVD player, VHS player (yes, VHS, I love old movies), a Wii, and an amazing stereo system that I shipped here from the States.

I let Liam in and he just walked around quietly for a couple minutes and took it all in. I pointed out the bedroom and bath and then put all my stuff away. At least five minutes had past since we got in and he still has yet to say anything, was it really that bad? I mean I liked it, but did it not match or did he like hate bright colors or something? I’m beginning to FREAK OUT. This was the first friend, well I hope we are still friends after I tell him, that I had made and he hates my house. Oh god.

“Liam are you okay?”

“I really like your place.” He said without looking at me. “It’s different but a good different. The bright colors show your young side but everything is so neat and tidy, nothing like I would expect for a regular teenager.”

“Thanks. I was beginning to think you hated it… you were quiet for so long I got nervous.” I said shyly and he just laughs.

“No I don’t hate it. I promise.”

“Well then, how about dinner? I was thinking home made pizza?”

“Sounds perfect, but I have to warn you I am a master at doing that dough spiny thingy.” He winked at me and I could help but laugh as I got all the ingredients out of the fridge.

I made dough the day before cause I was planning on making pizza for dinner anyways. I pulled out the stuff to make home made sauce, the cheese, pepperoni, and a bunch of veggies and salad stuff. I handed Liam the dough and flour and he began to roll out the dough to make one large pizza. I started on the sauce and we begin to chat.

“Are you making home made sauce?” he asks sounding surprised.

“Yeah, I try my best to make everything home and with organic food. I just think it is better for the baby and honestly just healthier in general. Everything has so many preservatives and added stuff in it, it just doesn’t seem right. I grow as much as I can out in my little green house that I made, but I buy the rest at a farmers market down the road.” I said as he came up behind me and stuck his finger in the sauce to try it. “Liam! At least use a spoon!”

“First of all, that sauce is bloody delicious and secondly, please do not mention spoons.” He said walking back over to the dough.

“Spoons? Why can’t I mention spoons?” I asked raising an eyebrow.
