Robin brought her to the car, placing her in the back. He looked at her worriedly, seeing something akin to pain in her eyes.

"Rae, are you alright?"

She nodded, looking down at the floor. She kept herself from coughing, knowing blood would come. She didn't want Robin to let his guard down because of her.

"I'm alright, just a little shaken."

Robin raised a brown under the mask, motioning that he knew she was lying and that he would be checking her out.

She sighed, buckling her seatbelt. Robin hopped in on the other side, in the back with her. Batman looked at them through the rear view mirror, his gaze cold. He directed his eyes to the road, ignoring them and taking off.

When they arrived at the manor, Robin took Raven to the infirmary. Bruce offered to come, but Robin had waved him off, going downstairs.

Once she was on the bed, he took off his mask, gazing into her amethyst orbs. She closed her eyes, leaning back against the pillow.

"Raven, where are the injuries?"

She sighed deeply, not wanting to answer, but of course, he leaned over her, finding them himself.

He pushed against her chest, feeling for a broken rib. She gasped as he came in contact with the broken one. She starting coughing, feeling the familiar taste of blood in her mouth.

Robin's eyes widened at the sight, worried for his fellow bird.

"Jesus, Raven..."

He grabbed a towel for her to cough in as he called in Bruce. Bruce's immediate reaction was the to push Robin aside, grabbing tools and sterilizing them.

Raven kept coughing, her head pounding. She felt a sharp pain in her hand, before falling into unconsciousness.

----------------------------------------------

She awoke to Robin pressing his hand against her forehead. She looked into his eyes, sleepiness apparent.

"You broke a rib, Rae."

"I know."

"Bruce had to operate on you."

He looked down at the huge stitch line below her chest. She didn't look at the damage, knowing it would be bad.

She swallowed the lump in her throat, looking up at the ceiling of the room. Harley was gaining power, and she was losing her own.

Both Bruce and Robin would make her stay in the manor, on constant watch. She could deal with that, but if Tim started his incessant flirting, she would be forced to get out.

"Rae?"

His voice interrupted her thoughts, sounding extremely worried and concerned for her. Raven's heart squeezed.

"Hm?"

"I know you're going to hate this, but both Bruce and I think it would be best if you were on bed rest...."

"I know."

She looked into his blue eyes, seemingly understanding. He sighed, sitting down on the bed next to her.

"You know I can't stand seeing you like this."

He pushed a stray strand of hair behind her ear. Raven used a hand to hold his arm.

"I'll be fine. My healing powers will kick in as soon as my emotions are at a more stable position."

He looked towards the door, his eyes unreadable. Raven didn't let go of him until he began to move.

He kissed her cheek gently, eyes slightly hazy. Raven exhaled slowly, watching him leave. When he was at the door, he stopped, facing her.

"You'll be okay?"

"Yes, Richard."

He hesitantly stepped out of the room, disappearing behind the door, leaving Raven to her rest.
