Chapter 6

Cat's P.O.V

Lucy and I exit the cramped closet trying to act like nothing happened,

I notice Harry's now sitting at our table how fun (note the sarcasm),

I sit I can feel my inner demons awakening,

Harry stares at me and says,

"Whats wrong?"

Lucy says

"Your face"

He rolls his eyes and says,

"Charming Lucy just charming"

"What can I say I am a charming person"

"I just asked a simple question"

I snap

"Just drop it Harry"

They stare at me shocked and surprised,

I rub spirals on my forehead trying to calm my active brain,

Lucy says touching my back,

"Cat Are you OK?"

"...shhh..."

She lowers her voice to a whisper,

"Why do I have to whisper?"

"...they'll hear us..."

"Who?"

"...the demons inside..."

They probrably think I'm loco crazy,

I make a sprint out the doors, out the school entrance, down the street and to my house,

I run in the kitchen and grab a knife as I'm lowering it to my left wrist someone yells,

"CAT NO STOP!"

I look up and say back to the person showing my pain,

"Why should I Harry? Huh Why should I? You wanted me to be this way an no after three years you tell me to stop"

I run in my room I grab a wet towel and wipe the make up off,

I look in the mirror and sob I sit in the dark on my bed,

I hear a knock and Lucy say,

"Cat Darling can you let us in?"

"Come in if you dare"

The door opens I see the six outlines enter,

I say

"Turn the light on"

The lights switched on my eyes adjust,

I see their shocked faces and instantly feel hideous,

Why did they do this to me...

Harry's P.O.V

As I stride away from Cat thoughts are spinning around in my brain,

I walk down to the store and look inside I ask the cashier what he'd recommend for a surprise,

He smiles and asks

"Is it for a girl?"

"Maybe"

"Then I'd say balloons, teddybears, flowers and cute notes"

I nod and get everything I ask him to store them away for me,

I thank him and go back to school I go to the library,

I find books with poems or definitions in them and secretly rip them out,

I hide them in my locker and got to the cafeteria,

I sit with the lads as Lucy and Cat walk out of a janitors closet I look confused and say

"What happened?"

"Lucy got a text and they had to talk privately probably girl stuff"

"Oh OK..."

I look at them and notice a something,

Something small that Ive seen before,

It was only a flicker in Cats eye for a split second,

It was a mix of worry anger and fear,

I say

"What's wrong?"

They all look at me then Lucy says

"Your face"

I roll my eyes and say

"Charming Lucy just charming"

"What can I say I am a charming person"

"I just asked a simple question"

Cat snaps

"Just drop it Harry"

We look at her surprised she sits while drawing circles with her fingers on her forehead,

Lucy says

"Cat are you OK?"

"...shhh..."

Lucy whispers

"Why do I have to whisper?"

"...They'll hear us..."

"Who?"

"...the demons inside..."

She stands and runs out the doors,

Lucy runs after her I say

"Should we go guys?"

They nod we follow behind trying to keep up man Cat can run,

She runs in a mansion Lucy hot on her tail,

We enter also and hear smashing and running,

We walk in the kitchen to see Cat with a knife nearing her left wrist I yell,

"CAT NO STOP!"

she stops and says tears in her eyes,

"Why should I Harry? Huh why should i? You wanted me to be this way and now after three years you tell me to stop"

She races to her room and slams the door,

Lucy walks in the hall holding a tub of ice cream,

She says

"Cat darling can you let us in?"

Cat says

"Come in if you dare"

Lucy opens the door its dark and creepy,

We can see the outline of Cat sitting on the bed in the darkness,

Cat says

"Turn the light on"

Lucy flicks a switch our eye adjust to see a heartbreaking sight,

What did we do to her? guilt stabs us all right in the gut,

Oh Cat I'm so so so sorry...
