Prologue

Yesterday... I wish I could take it back... But no I can't, I can't not bump into him at the border.

I am Justine Evons I am 18 years old and I have shoulder length brown hair with blue eyes fitted to my 5'4 stature. I belong to the largest pack in the u.s I am the daughter of the whispering winds beta, I like my life and I am happy with it's routine, but it all changed that day at the border, the day I met him.

Chapter 1 'One day earlier' (Justine P.O.V)

"Hey Justine" "Hey Stephanie, how have you been? I've been worried, how's it going with Chris?" Chris Stephanie's brother got attacked by rouges a few days ago.

"I'm doing ok, and Chris finally got the silver out of his system and is slowly healing now" her voice cracked as she almost started to cry, and her shoulder length brown hair covers her bright green eyes and suddenly her 5'2 figure seamed so much smaller, stopping at my locker I shouldn't apologize

"Oh mt gosh, I'm so sorry Steph, I have brought it up!" as I embrace her she starts to weep into my shoulder.

As we stand there in our embrace Devon our childhood friend with his short black hair and sky blue eyes and 5'9 figure walks around the corner near my locker a grin on his face, Devon had found his mate and I assumed that he was just with her, his grin drops and turns to a worried expression, "What's wrong Steph?" he asks worried walking over.

As soon as Steph heard Devon she tryed as best she could to stop the weeping and wipe away the tears streaming down her cheeks "nothing, I'm- I'm okay" she said trying her best to smile,

"steph, you know I'm here for you, you can talk to me" "I know" Steph replies with a small smile, "its just- all that's going on with Chris..." she stuttered her voice cracking and shaking her head from side to side to try and get away from it all, "Oh Steph, it will be ok" Devon reassured Steph embracing her.

Just as Dev embraces Steph Lyndsay Dev's mate comes around the corner her black hair over her one shoulder and her brown eyes looking for and finding Devon, hugging another female wolf. Anger and jealousy clear on her features, she went to say something just as Devon pulled away from Steph, Lyndsay saw the teary expression on her face and lost her words. She knew that Stephs brother Chris had been attacked by rouges and wasn't healed yet from the amount of silver in his system.

so instead of an aquard confrontation I cleared my throat and said "hello Lyndsay" making Devon freeze and the anger and jelousy retern full force and glare at Devon as he whipped around to face Lyndsay.

Chapter 2 Jealousy (lynns P.O.V)

"And what the HELL might YOU be doing!?!?!?" I swear that boy is looking to be mate-less I thought glaring at Devon, damn he looks good, and I couldn't help myself but to check out his sexy but tense with shock amazing wolf body "I-- I was just-" he stuttered

"you were just what!?!!" I demanded "he was just trying to cheer me up" steph said in a small voice her face still showing signs of crying earlier, I wavered slightly but turned to glare at Devon who was trying to make his way to me to try and calm me "Lynn please-"

"please what accept the fact that MY mate was in the arms of another wolf!?" I questioned him "no baby that's not what I was going to say-"

that is as far as he got before I cut him off "than what was it that you were going to say than huh? that you were just stretching and she happened to fall into you-" right at that point he cut me off
