We were in a car crash and everybody except me survived. I remember because I was standing in the hospital watching my mom have her surgery. She got thrown through the windshield and had glass everywhere. I kept asking the nurses if she was going to be ok as they walked out, but none of them responded. It was like they couldn't even see me. I didn't know what was happening. I mean, it was my mom after all and it was like they didn't even care to tell me if she was going to make it or not. The first person I saw after the crash happened was my grandma. How could that be though? She died 3 years ago.

"Hi Hazel. It's nice to finally see you. I've missed you so much." She talked to me as though it was the last christmas we spent together.

"Where am I? Am I dead? Is this Heaven? Where is Jaxon? Is everybody else ok? Am I a ghost?"

"You haven't changed a bit. You still ask questions about everything. How have you been?"
"I've been good. Will you please answer my questions?!?" I was starting to get very scared because family was/is everything to me. I mean, I had Brandon, Chealsea, Elizabeth, and all of my other friends. How will they find out about the car crash?

"I will answer your questions. I want you to meet somebody first."

"Who? Unless it's grandpa, I don't want to meet anybody." I replied, I was starting to get snotty with her and I knew she didn't like it because her voice got very strict when she talked.

"You will like who I am going to show you and this person will explain everything." Her voice was a calm strict. As though she wanted to get her point across while sounding nice.

"Fine. I will meet this mystery person." I was not very happy that she wouldn't tell me who I was meeting. We walked for a while, but it only felt like 5 min. When we finally reached the person, I couldn't believe my eyes. It was Jonas. My little Jonas. I ran to him and gave him the biggest hug ever. The best part was that he hugged me back!!

"Oh my goodness!! Jonas!!! How are you? Are you still alive? How is mom and dad?" I shot all these questions at him not thinking that he would have any questions for me.

"Hold on. Everybody is fine. You are the only one that didn't survive. I'm sorry. The only reason I'm here is because I'm partially dead while in surgery. The nurses aren't sure if I will make it. I've come here to tell you that your body is still in the living world, but your spirit is here in heaven. You will have to learn to take control over both parts. If you lose control over one, the other one will soon follow. I spoke to Mary Heerson and she explained everything. we are in a world where half is ghost and half is living. It's hard to take control over both parts, but once. you do, you will..."

"Jonas?! Where did you go? JONAS!?!?!?!?"

"He had to go back." Grandma was talking again and I was not pleased with her.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME IT WAS JONAS!?! WHY DIDN"T YOU ANSWER ANY OF MY QUESTIONS?! WHERE IS MY MOThER? MY FATHER? WHY DID JONAS LEAVE?!? YOU WILL ANSWER ME OR I WILL NEVEr TALK TO YOU AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!"

"Wow. Don't you think that's a little harsh? I was going to answer your questions. I didn't tell you who it was because I was afraid you would just shoot me and him down with more questions. I still know you sweetheart."

"No. You don't know me. It's been three years. I prayed and I prayed that I would see you again, but not this soon."

"I know. I never thought I would die at the age of 87. It's sad. Some people believe it's fate, others believe it's a thing of nature." She says this surprisingly calm.

"But I'm only 14! I wasn't supposed to die this young!!" I was getting furious that grandma wasn't making any sense whatsoever

"Like I said. Some people think it's fate and some believe it's a thing of nature. You just have to accept one. Which will you accept?"

"Neither! I want to see Jonas again! I want to go home! I don't want to be here!1" I said all of this with as much anger as I could muster up from inside of me. I needed to get out of here.

"Is there any possible way my soul, or spirit, or whatever could go back to my body? I want to see my family and how they are doing."
"There is a way, but anybody who has ever tried it has never succeeded. You will have to find somebody that knows where Mary Heerson lives. She will tell you how to do that. The only thing is that if you don't succeed..."

"Thank you so much for telling me this. I will not forget who told me how to come back to life." I sprinted out and started my search for Mary Heerson.
