"Y/n~ it's been two weeks. Can I see the kids already?", Natsu whined. He had been in bed for two weeks now to let his back and spine heal.

"I'm sorry Natsu. But Porlyusica told me not to let you out of bed. Just one more week. The kids are doing just fine. Shō had some deep cuts and Hikari a broken rib but with some rest they'll be okay by next week too. I'll go check on them now too, okay?", y/n said and Natsu nodded "Sure. I'll stay here with Erza and underpants man."

"Don't call me underpants man!", you could hear Gray saying from the hallway. He and Erza had held Natsu company on the last few weeks when y/n wasn't there. Erza had insisted on it being the two of them because they were Natsu's first friends. Gray was kinda persuaded into it but he didn't hated it. He was worried about that annoying flame brain too.

Y/n smiled and kissed Natsu goodbye. He pulled her body a bit closer to his and said "I love you y/n" when they broke up. As y/n walked out, Erza, Gray and Porlyusica walked in and Natsu knew he would be going through some serious pain again.

Gray helped Porlyusica turning Natsu in his stomach and she started massaging the ointment into his skin. Natsu's face was buried into his pillow so the sounds he made were muffled. His back didn't hurt as much as it did two weeks ago but he was still going through some serious pain.

After that Porlyusica started examining his back. She pressed on a few spots and Natsu only reacted at two of them "You're healing fast. In a week, maybe two, you'll be ready to go."

They turned him back and the old healer left, leaving Natsu alone with Gray and Erza.

Natsu felt his eyelids get heavy. He hadn't slept well in weeks and the pain in his back certainly didn't help with that. He closed his eyes and dozed off.

When Erza a had noticed Natsu had fallen asleep she put him down and tucked him in. Erza looked at the round face, the pink strands of hair that were literally everywhere and how he was smiling in his sleep as if he was dreaming very nice. "He hasn't changed much. He looks just as cute as when we were young...", Erza told Gray and he looked up, smiling at his pink haired friend. "Yeah. He still looks like a little kid.", Gray said and Natsu muttered in his sleep "Shut up, perverted popsicle pants."

"Yep. Just the same."

Natsu woke up from his nap with a yawn and rubbed his eyes. When he looked around he noticed Makarov talking to Erza and Gray taking a nap. He tried sitting up himself without hurting his back to much and Makarov jumped on the bed.

"You look good Natsu. How are you feeling?", he asked while looking at Natsu for any signs of discomfort. "I'm good. Bored, but good. My back still hurts, but not even half as bad as two weeks ago. Have you seen Hikari and Shō?", Natsu answered.

"Yes. They are doing well. They're strong kids. It's clear who's children they are. One day they'll make a wonderful addition to the Fairy Tail family.", Master Makarov told him and Natsu smiled.

"I'm proud of them. Especially Hikari since she must have protected Shō since he can't use magic yet.", Natsu said looking up "They're wonderful kids. I really love them."

Natsu stretched his arms and made a painful face "Ah. Next week I'll be home again... I can't wait to sleep in my own bed again and eat when and what I want.", Natsu said and closed his eyes, imagining what he would eat when he got home.

Makarov had to go for a guild master's meeting and Erza walked back inside. "You sure look healthy. I'm happy to see you like this.", Erza said and pulled Natsu in a bone crushing hug. "E-Erza... My. My back.", Natsu managed to get out and Erza immediately released him. "I'm sorry. I didn't think of that for just a moment."

"By the way. How come you and Gray got to leave the infirmary so early?", Natsu asked, a bit annoyed by the fact that he was the only one left in the infirmary. "We just had some scratched.", she said and Natsu's jaw dropped "Just some scratches!? You two were half dying in the battlefield!", Natsu yelled waking up Gray.

"Shit up flame brain. You're being noisy as hell. Go sleep or something.", an annoyed Gray yelled. He had been dreaming so nice right now and Natsu had to ruin it again of course. "Stupid flame brain.", he muttered and walked out of the infirmary.
