No one's POV:
"Please don't leave Ari!" Luke begged.
"I have to, this is only one chance Luke." Ari said looking at her feet.

Ari was moving to LA to pursue her singing career. Ari looked at him.
"You promise that you will always text, call, Skype me whenever you have time." Ari said holding out her pinky.
"Promise." Luke told and interlocks his pinky into her.

"Flight 324 to LA California is now boarding." The flight attendant said through the speakers.
"I have to go." Ari said getting her bag and luggage and walking to her gate.
Before she went to her gate, she turned around and waved at Luke and Luke waved back. She ran to her gate with tears down her face.

For Luke, when she was gone, he dropped to his knees and cried in his hands.

Present time:
Ari's POV:
Today I'm moving back to Australia.
Luke hasn't text me or called me or skyped me and I was upset and mad.
But it's okay, I kinda moved on.
Now I'm a huge singer and I write my own music by myself or with other song writers.
I was with my best friend Liz and we are driving to the airport.
I met Liz at the airport. I was looking for my name and I bumped into her and after, we talked for a little bit and we exchanged numbers. So we got an apartment together. I told her about my life and Luke and if he hurt me, she would fly to Australia and punch him in the face.

Once we were at the airport, I checked my things and went through security and other airport things and waited for my gate call.
Me and Liz were just talking about random things but my gate called.
"Flight 357 is now boarding." The flight attendant said through the speakers.
I got up and hugged Liz and said bye to her. And I went to my gate.
Australia here I come.

Luke's POV:
Now I'm in a band called 5 Seconds of Summer with my best friends Ashton, Michael, and Calum and we were just practicing some songs. You can say we are pretty big.
After practice, I sat down on the couch beside my girlfriend Vanessa cuddling while watching our favourite show, How I Met Your Mother.

"How was our practice?" I asked looking down at her.
"It was great" she said looking up at me.
Vanessa has blond haired with green/grey eyes and has a petite body. I met her when I was getting groceries with Calum. And we started dating last year.
I smiled and pecked her lips and she smiled.
We looked back at the tv and my eyes were getting heavy and I drifted to sleep.

Ari's POV:
*skip plane ride*
Once I got off the plane, I grabbed my bag and picked up my luggage.
I went to a taxi and put my luggage in the back. I went inside the taxi and buckled myself.
The taxi driver was around I guess in his late 50s and he had a little bit of grey hair and brown eyes.
"Hi, to the nearest hotel please." I said and the taxi driver nodded. And droves off.
Once we got there, I gave the money to the taxi driver but he shook his head.
"Keep the money, being a nice lad." He smiled.
"Thank you ...."
"Alan." He said.
"Well, thank you Alan." I say getting out of the taxi and grabbed my luggage.
I waved at him while he drove off.
I entered the hotel and it was big. Glass tiles on the floor, huge ceiling with a huge chandelier in the middle.
I walked up to the front desk.
"Hello, how may I help you?" The lady asked. She was around her early 20s with her jet black hair in a low bun with dark brown eyes.
"Hi I would love a room please." I asked nicely and she nodded typing stuff on her computer.
"How long will you be staying here?" She asked me.
"3 days." I said and she nodded typing more stuff on her computer.
"That will be $1010 please." She asked and I gave her $2000.
You may be wondering, how I got that much money, well I used to work at Starbucks but I singing one of my songs I wrote and a manager of a music company heard me and asked me if I can join the company and of course I said yes.
"Floor 11, room 1124. Have a nice day." She said and smiled.
"You too." I smiled and went to the elevator.
I entered the elevator and pressed 11 and the elevator doors closed.

Once I were at floor 11, I was now looking for my room.
"1121, 1122, 1123, 1124, there it is." I said finally found my room.
Once I opened my room, I jaw dropped to the floor. The room was so beautiful and huge.
It had one queen size bed, a huge bathroom, a small kitchen and a big flat screen tv with a couch.
I put my stuff down and rest on my bed and go on my phone. I went through Twitter and now I was on Instagram. I was scorlling down some pics but one picture caught my eye.
It was Luke and a girl who I assume is his girlfriend because they were kissing and the caption was 'Love you babe forever. You are the best❤️'
I feel that my heart just dropped to my feet into a million pieces.
I've always liked Luke when we best friends. But not like best friends but like like him for so long but I guess he didn't like me back.
I turned off my phone and decided to have a shower. I stripped out of my plane outfit and hopped into the shower and did my shower routine.
After that, I hopped out of the shower and changed into a daisy tank top with some ripped shorts that have really cute daisies on then with a dark grey knitted sweater. And for my shoes, I just did my plain white high top converse.
I blow dried my hair and did my hair half up and half down and curled the ends of it. I grabbed my light pink chanel purse and put my phone, wallet, and essentials in them.
And I went out for a walk and tomorrow will be apartment hunt.

Luke's POV:
Vanessa left because her mom needed her to do something and I was sitting on the couch looking through Instagram and Twitter.
I was bored and none of the boys doesn't want to do anything because they are lazy.
So I got up and grabbed my jacket and went on a walk.
I walked to the nearest mall and just walk around the mall a little bit. But then I bumped into a petite body. I looked down and it was a girl.
"Oops, sorry should've watch where I was going." The girl said getting up.

Ari's POV:
I was walking around a mall until I bumped into a tall body.
"Oops, sorry should've watch where I was going." I said getting up.
"It's okay. It's not your fault." The stranger said.
I looked up and my jaw dropped.
"Oh my god." I mumbled. It was Luke. Shit, he is so tall.
"Is there something wrong?" He asked.
"No, no nothing's wrong." I said looking down a little bit.
"You just look so similar to an old friend." I say looking up.
"Okay." He said standing there awkwardly.
I looked up and he opened his mouth to say something but I cut him off.
"Well I got to go." I said and ran out of the mall.
"WAIT!" I hear Luke yell but I didn't look back, I just kept running to my hotel.

Luke's POV:
That girl looked so similar to Ari.
I was about to say something but I got caught off by her.
"Well I got to go." She said and ran out of the mall.
"WAIT!" I yelled but she didn't look back.
I sighed and I walked back to my house.

Once I entered the house, and I closed the door, I came face to face with the boys.
"Hey guys." I smiled. I sat down at the couch and turned on the tv.
"Where were you?" Asked Calum.
"I went for a walk." I said surfing through the channel.
"Oh." Ashton said.
"Why?" I asked looking up at them.
"We've been trying to contact you but you wouldn't answer." Michael said
"Because I left my phone here." I said getting up going to my room. Once I entered my room and closed the door I could here Michael saying 'Told you guys'

I sat down on my bed looking around my room but then my eyes caught a small brown box. It had a label that said 'Best friends A x L' I opened the box and I found bunch of random things like books, buttons, cards, but pictures from a back then.
I looked through some of the pictures and one caught my eye,
It was a picture of Ari and I at the airport when she was leaving to pursue her singing career.
I think my mom took this picture. I looked at the back and it said 'text Ari later. 04/11/2011' I was kinda confused at first but then my eyes widen.
I FORGOT TO CONTACT ARI.
She would probably hate by now. And I also hate myself for not reminding myself.
I grabbed my phone and I checked if I still have her number. Yes! I still have her number.
I pressed her contact and it rings, rings, rings, rings
"Hey it's Ari, tried to call me? Nah I will be hanging out with my Best friend all day. Call back. Mwah!" Her voicemail was still the same.
"Hey Ari, it's Luke, um I am really sorry that I didn't contact you for 4 years. I would always have time but I will always forget to contact you. I know you are probably angry at me now and I know, I am mad at myself too. But I wish I had my best friend back. Please call back so we talk this out please. Bye." I said and ended the call.
