Dakota

"No." I narrowed my eyes on my Parents. Their mouths were open slightly. I already know what they wanted. "Dakota, we had made the deal already. You have to go." Mom stood up with her arms crossed.

"But I'm fine where I am!" I response. My parents want me to start in a new school. Not just any school either, the School full of rich and famous children. Golden Valley Academy. I love my parents, but I don't think I could fulfill their wish.

"We made a promise Sweetheart, you said after you finish Sophomore year you would enter Golden Valley. You did finish the tenth grade did you not?" Dad spoke from where he was sitting. I did say that, like in 4th grade.

"I made that promise thinking you wouldn't remember." I mumbled relaxing back on the couch.

"Well your Mother did not forget." Mom smiled proudly sitting back down.

Golden Valley Academy, a well known school world wide. The only way to be chosen into the school is if you're parents/family was famous. And well my family was known. My parent being the Most Famous Actor and Actress. Plus they're happily married. My older brother being a music prodigy. Riley Brooks, one of the best musician in the country.

Mom, Maddison Brooks was a superstar growing up. Both gorgeous and intelligent. With dark rich brown hair and her different color eyes that caught my Dad in her trap. One is brown the other was green. She was still known as one of the most beautiful woman on the planet.

Dad, Ryan Brooks was a model growing up then became an actor meeting my Mom in one of his movies. They hit it off pretty good. His dark brown eyes and hair captivated my Mom. He was a handsome and very well mattered.

My older Brother was a sight for an sore eye. He's a blonde with blue eyes. My Mom said he inherited from her side of the family. Her dad had both blue eyes and blonde hair. But she had her mother's looks. So she said Riley looked like Grandpa.

Me? I had my Dad's dark brown hair, but I had my mom's eyes, one brown and one green. So I sorta looked like both my parents. I grew up with my best friend Mikaela Anne, hid in the shadows of my family. I didn't want to be famous. I didn't really dream of being anything. Not a model, an actress, or a singer.

"Mom, Dad, I lived my life as a secret. Going by a different name so I keep my private life private." I grunt out. Their eyes went wide as they gasped.

"What do you mean by a different name?!" Mom sat back up, narrowing her eyes at me.

"Lexi Anne. She's been going by that since she started in kindergarten. Nanny Anne said she could be a normal kid growing up. But since she left in freshman year, Koda has been signing her own school slips." Riley walks through the living room door, eating a cupcake.

Nanny Anne was Riley and I's Nanny who took care of us more then our parents. Riley went to Golden Valley while I went to a pubic school with her daughter. Mom and Dad didn't mind at the time. But when I was entering grade 4 they insisted I go to Golden Valley Academy. I quickly made up a deal that I will go in my sophomore year.

"Finally you arrive." I exclaim, putting up my hands. My brother smiles at me, taking a seat next to me. "Now tell them I'm fine where I am." I begged to my brother.

"Sorry Koda, I'm with Mom and Dad on this one. You should start your pop star life already. Most of the world think your a lie. Thinking 'Dakota Lee Brooks' is a joke. Quote, unquote." Finishing his cupcake. I scoff crossing my arms.

"Bu-but you were seen with us at movie premiers and at work.. Didn't she?" Mom stutters thinking.

"Nope. You always invited me, but I'm always at my apartment having fun with Mikaela. Like we would watch movies, stay up late, girl talk, sometimes we would battle it out on the PS3. I don't really go out so, no pictures, I go by Lexi Anne in school and I never actually seen with you guys so.. I'm home free." I say looking at a my badly cut nails.

Dad has his hand under his chin thinking. "True. Not many times you would came to any of things we've invited you to."

"I'm not one to be center of the light guys. I rather be the one pointing the light at the stars." I relax back into the couch, sighing.

"You're going and that's final." Mom stated making me stand up.

"I rather swim in a pool on apple sauce." I huff turning my head the other way. That's saying a lot since I extremely hate apple sauce. Riley started laughing shaking his head.

"Jeez Dakota it's just Golden Valley. Another school, nothing you can't handle. Or.." he paused narrowing his eyes at me. "Or your just too scared." He smirks as I snap my head at him.

"I'm not!"

"Are too" He replies taunting.

"I'm not!" I argued back.

"Are too!"

"I'm not!"

"If you're not, go to Golden Valley then!" He snapped.

"Fine! I'll go! See I'm not scared." I smirked with victory. Then it was quiet.

"Okay. Your to Golden Valley as of Monday morning." Riley smiled sitting back down. I process his words and mine own. "Balls!" I grunted putting my hands in my hands. Mom and Dad started clapping and saying words, but I zoned out so I didn't hear them.

He tricked me into saying yes. Stupid brother. I thought sighing. Looks like I'm going to Golden Valley Academy.
