The sheets were ripped off me. I blew out a shaky breathe. "Get up! We're going be late." My best friend's voice, Valentino Jenkins. I turned my head around looking up at the guy. I sighed grabbing a pillow from the side and putting it on my face.

"Can't I just sleep in?!" I shouted into the pillow not wanting to go to school especially that school. Golden Valley Academy.  It was a famous school for rich and famous families. My dad always wanted me to go there, I had to disagreed. For like the last eleven years.

"No. Now get up. Get ready, we're already late. It's like 10:40AM." Val spoke. I lifted the pillow looking at him. He was sitting on my desk chair. "Why didn't you wake me up sooner?" I said, getting off my bed.

"Because I went to the opening ceremony. I thought you would've got up yourself but.. guess not." Val shrugs at me. I roll my eyes walking over to my closet. I didn't want to even go to the stupid school so why should I try and be on time.

"The Brooks were there."

"Oh really?" I glance back at him. He nods. "All of them were there. Guess what else they said?" He said standing up. I waited for him to tell him, he was staring at me raising a eyebrow.

"What did they say?" I sigh going back into my closet. It's a pretty big walk in closet, but I'm Ethan Dawnson of course it has to best of the best.

"Dakota Brooks will be attending the Academy." I laughed shaking my head. As if that little imagery guy would show up.

"Let me guess, he didn't show his face." I replied throwing on a plain black t-shirt. I didn't have one on. I only sleep with my boxers, usually the maids don't wake me up. I like my sleep.

"Correct!" Val exclaimed. I could imagine Val outside the door shaking his head sighing. I don't know why but he always wanted to meet the guy. Dakota Brooks, the son of a famous actor and actress, Madison Brooks and Ryan Brooks. The brother of a music prodigy. I never met the guy but always heard rumors about him.

"Well isn't that surprising." Sarcasm was like a second language to me.

"Yeah, but afterwards I went go try and ask about him to his older brother, Riley. You know him right?" I nodded, then realizing he can't see me.

"Yeah and? I picked out black skinny jeans.

"He kept trying to call someone. When the other person finally answered, he shouted questions. His parents went off with the principal to do some registering. I was going to walk away and ask later but.." He pauses. "Riley said Koda, probably a nickname for Dakota!" Val exclaims smiling.

I walked out, going to my bathroom. I already took a shower last night, washing up and brushing my teeth. "Okay. And this proves?" I looked at him through the mirror.

"It proves Dakota Brooks is real!"

"Yeah sure. Why not." I said in a monotone voice. Going back to my closet, putting on socks and my black and white high tops. Throwing on a watch and grabbing sunglasses, I sigh walking back into the room.

"Here's your bag." Valentino passed me my bag, smiling. I grab out of his hands and make sure I have my phone.  "Let's go already. We missed like two classes now." He says pulling out of my bedroom. Do I have to do this? I skip breakfast not wanting to eat. We had outside where Val's Mustang GT500 is parked. I whistle smirking down at the beauty. It was red with strips.

"Can I drive?" I ask still looking at the car.

"No. My baby loves my touch more then yours." I laugh going around to the passenger side. I do have my own cars, but why should I waste gas when Val and I going to the same place.
