Alice's POV:
"When I blow this whistle, you start!" The teacher yelled. Two seconds later and he blew it. I ran and looked around to find out where the ball was at. I found it in the hands of Ryder. He hesitated to throw it to me. Come on! I'm open butt thong!
"I'm open! You said you would give me a chance!" I yelled across the gym. He sighed and looked defeated. He threw the ball quite well actually and I caught it. Ryder's eyes widened. They didn't think I would catch it? They need more faith in me.
I ran for my life. I was going to make a touchdown. I out-ran every boy or girl who came near me. In one sudden movement a dodgeball landed in front of me. (Dramatic music) It felt like I was falling slow motion. I hit the floor and had my arms protectively around the ball. I looked around for a minute and realized... I made a touchdown.
"Does that really count? I mean she's some sort of man-girl. It isn't fair." Whitney crossed her arms.
"Listen here Barbie, I've had enough of your bullshit today. So I'd shut that red-lipped mouth of yours or my foot will be so far up your ass that you would be able to taste the rubber from my freaking shoe." I snapped at her after I stood up and got in her face. Her eyes widened. I smirked and stepped back. I looked at the coach and his eyes were wide as they looked from me to Whitney.
"Um, touchdown for Jace's team!" He yelled.
"What?!" Whitney was out of her daze. I ignored her and looked at Jace. He was standing next to the rack of dodgeballs. I glared at him. Oh hell no!
"I wanted to see if you had any skill." He shrugged it off. He didn't even try to lie to me! How rude!
Jace's POV:
I had to admit, Alice is one of a kind. she's athletic, bold, carefree, and kind of hot. Most girls would have to paint make up on their face to look as good as Alice.
I walked to the locker room and got dressed in different clothes. I put on more deodorant and realized all of the other people left. I must have taken longer than I thought but perfection takes time.
"Hey sexy." I heard a girl say and in a second I was pushed up against the lockers. Whitney is the school slut. She had some weird obsession with Ryder, Alec, and me. It is really creepy but who could blame her? I mean, I am pretty sexy.
"Not now, Whit." I commented and brushed her off. She gave me a pouty face. Really?
"Why Jay?" I cringed at the nickname she gave me. Her voice is so whiny it made me cringe. I may sound dramatic but her voice sounds like a cat getting slowly ran over.
"I'm not in the mood." I shrugged and began walking. I walked out of the locker room and into the halls. They were empty. It must be sixth period. I heard the clicking of heels behind me and debated on running for it.
"I know what this is about! It's about that stupid boy-girl isn't it? I saw you staring at her in class." Whitney crossed her arms. I stopped and turned around.
"Don't bring Alice into this. Have you ever thought that maybe I don't want you?" I asked her with anger clear in my tone.
"Ha! Who doesn't want me? It has to be her! What does she have that I don't? I'm so much better than her in every way. I'm pretty, stylish, sweet as candy, sexy, and I love you Jace. Why do you settle for that ugly girl who doesn't even like you?" Whitney asked and by the end of her speech, she was two inches from me. I didn't know what to say. Whitney can be a real bitch at times and this was one of those times.
"Whitney, listen clearly. I don't want you. You're just dragging Alice into this to make yourself feel better. Get over it." I growled.
"You know what? Fine! I'll just seduce Alec or Ryder! They won't be as stupid as you to reject me." Whitney was on the verge of tears. What a drama queen.
"Whatever but they'll reject you. Bye Whit." I commented and walked away.
"I'll make Alice's life hell because of this!" She yelled. I could tell she was defeated. Is she really going to make Alice's life hell though? No, I don't think she has the guts to.
I walked into sixth period. Usually I would ditch but I wanted to see how many classes Alice had with me so I could tease her about it.
"Mr. Payton, I see you're late again." Mr. Danes commented.
"It takes awhile to get this good looking. Wait, you wouldn't know that." I smirked as people in my class held in laughter. I looked around and didn't see Alice. Crap, now I have to go through this boring class for nothing.
A/N: Sorry for the shorter chapter.
How did you like Jace's POV? It was a treat to get into the secret mind of Jace Payton.
What do you think of Whitney?
