So I got bored and nothing good can ever come from that. This might get random and a little confusing. Inbox or comment if its too confusing. I'm making it up as it goes. I hope you like it!!!!! ;)
I still remembered the words my sister and I had shared yesterday:
"So what do we do?" She had asked me.
"Well, we can't stay here. We'll have to leave. It's too dangerous."
She had nodded her head and that had settled it, we ran away.
Running away to go find you mother and older brother is hard let me tell you. We might be abnormal but it's hard looking for someone you barely know. It's like looking for something you can only see through a microscope. Most the time you look right over it.
I looked at my twin sister's sleeping figure. We were lying safely in the woods, as far away from our father as possible. That's what mattered, we were safe.
I groaned in frustration. Who was I kidding? We were never going to be safe again. Not with the "guards" hot on our tail and us being barely old enough to legally drive. We were just kids.
She whimpered and stirred in her sleep. I focus harder on her, putting positive thoughts in her head. It seemed to work for a while until I heard her scream.
"Shhh." I murmured and patted her on the arm. She might be my twin, but we acted like I was three years older, which I didn't mind. With what she could do (or what I could do in compare) we were both scared shittless. Someone needed to take charge, and she wasn't ready for that yet.
She sighed in her sleep and her face turned peaceful again. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and fell back on the hard ground. It scared me when she did that.
Confused yet? Don't lie, I'm sure you are. Well, to start with, my name is Peggy, and my sisters name is Payton. Now don't ask me because I have no idea where the heck they even came up with our names. At least my brother got something almost normal, Nate. Although it doesn't fit the whole P thing. My parents (well my dad actually) are butt jobs, hints: why were on the run.
"Peg?" Payton muttered and rubbed her eyes. My head snapped in her direction.
"Yeah?"
"Why didn't you wake me. It's way past my shift. It's almost morning." She said and sat up, crossing her arms.
"I was fine and you needed the sleep." I said with a shrug.
She frowned in disapproval. "But You haven't slept in days. What if something happened and you were dead on your feet."
"Would I sound chicken if I said I was scared of what I would see?"
"No! Of course not. I see stuff every night and they all seem so real-"
"Because they are. I don't like knowing what's going to happen." I ran my hand down my face to wake me up.
"And you think I do?" She sighed. "No matter how much they suck, they could turn out very helpful, you do realize that, right?"
I didn't have the will power to argue because deep down I knew she was right. You just don't understand. Having dreams that could came true is a bit on the freaky side.
"Are we going to stay in the woods forever?" Payton asked after a while of silence. I looked at her and bit my lip.
I shook my head. "We'll find somewhere, or someone." Hopefully our mom, I thought silently to myself.
"Peg, we read minds, remember. No need to think anything you wouldn't willingly say to my face." She laughed and grabbed my hand. "I hope we find them too."
