*Jonathan's POV*

I was nervous to pick up Tatum for dinner tonight. She called me two days ago around four and asked me to go to dinner with her at eight tonight, and I didn't know why. At the wedding she didn't want anything to do with me, and now she wants to go for dinner. Well maybe she wants to get back together. I pull up her drive way and go up and knock on her door. She looked gorgeous, she was wearing a black tank top and white jeans, she looked so simple yet so complex. "You ready?", I ask and she nods. We walk down the drive way and I open the door for her before I get in and start driving. "So were going to The NoMad, or would you like to go somewhere else?", I ask.

"Can we go to the diner we went to as kids?", she smiles.

"Yeah", I reply. The rest of the car ride we were silent she turned up the music halfway through the drive because Taylor Swift came on, she started humming and it felt like old times. When we arrived we got out and went and sat at a booth in the back. "Let's get our old usuals?", I laugh.

"Yes, a vanilla milkshake sounds really good right now", I laugh again but this time she let's out a little laugh too. The waiter came by and asked us what we wanted and she went first. "Could I please get a vanilla milkshake, with chicken tenders and fries", then it's my turn.

"Can I get a chocolate milkshake, with a bacon cheese burger please", he wrote down what we wanted and hurried off to get our drinks.

*Tatum POV*

He started eating when I said to him, "whatever Mac told you it isn't true", his smile left his face.

"What are you talking about she didn't tell me anything", he was pretending he didn't know what I was taking about so I just dropped it too.

"Never mind", we small talked until we were almost done eating when I got a phone call. "Sorry I have to take this", I say and walk outside to answer it. "Hello?"

"Hi we are Rockford Memorial Services calling about a Nathan Matthews grave being disturbed may I please talk to Tatum Matthews", my heart sank when they said those words.

"Speaking what happened? What do you mean disturbed?" I asked frantically.

"Ms. Matthews it would be better if you came down here".

"I'm on my way", I hang up and quickly walk inside. "Jonathan I'm sorry I have to go", I say and grab my purse.

"What, why?"

"Something happened to Nathan's headstone, I have to go, I'm sorry", I start walking out of the diner when he grabs my hand.

"I'll drive you", he says and we walk to the car. The ride there was completely silent, I started to cry. As soon as we got there I got out of the car and walked to his headstone. It was smashed and the only thing left was beloved brother. I saw a police officer and walked over to him.

"What happened?", I almost shouted.

"It looks like some teenager's ran through here and smashed everything they could before we showed up, were really sorry, we are getting it all replaced to look exactly the same", the officer says then asks me to sign some papers.

I just looked around after I was done. I went and sat next to Nathan's smashed headstone, and started crying. Nathan is my brother, he died when he was nine from cancer, I was sixteen. Before I knew it I was being carried back to the car, by Jonathan. I fell asleep in the car and I was being carried into my mom's house, he set me down in my room and started to leave.

"Stay", I said and pulled him down.

"Are you-", I cut him off.

"Stay."
