After my parents and I are done sitting through the boring ass assembly and are introduced to all the camp councilors it was time to say out goodbyes. I clutched onto my mom for dear life. "I'm gonna miss you momma." I said she stroked my hair behind my ear and kissed me on the head. "I'll miss you too, well call every night okay?" I half smiled before shifting my hug over to my dad. I watched them as they both hopped into the car. As the drove out of the camp all I could see and hear was waving hands and a honking horn and the occasional yelp of I love you. And then, they were gone. I then jogged over to where all the other kids were listening to the camp instructors. I perk curly red head popped out. "My names sue, and I'm in charge of all you ladies!" Ew. I don't know what's worse the enthusiasm or her freckles. "We have posted all of the cabins and who's in which on the green bulletin board over ther-" she pointed before finishing her sentences and everyone booked. She laughed it off. I on the other hand walked over, not in any rush to see what dumb twit I'd be sharing a cabin with. "Let's seee.." I skimmed the paper up and down several times before spotting my name. "Aha." I pointed to my name and then pulled my finger across the paper. Cabin 8. I looked who had the same cabin as me. Blossom Venchez. "Sounds like a bit-.." "HI! YOU MUST BE BROOKE!" I have never seen someone run at me so fast & this excited to give me a hug. She gave me a hug and started swaying me while I stood kind of scared and helpless. "WERE ROOMATES!" "Uh, yeah.." I laughed a little. "ROOMIES ROOMIES ROOMIES!" She was giving me a head ache. Oh god I have to deal with this all summer. I couldn't do this. I went off to find the perky ginger. After spotting her, I jogged over. "Hey.. Um..." I snapped my fingers in search of her name. She gave me a dirty look. "Sue..?" "Yes sue! Okay um, I was wondering if there's any chance I can switch room mates, mines a bit too.." I trailed off trying to not think of a mean word. "Annoying." She smiled. "Well you're only other option would be the boy who was just enrolled. He doesn't have a room mate. His name is Justin." I smiled in relief. "I'll take it." "Not so fast." She said after I whipped around ready to break the news to perky pants. "Keep in mind that we do not normally put opposite genders in the same cabin. Yours and his cabin are much farther from the rest. Please control your hormones. No monkey business will be tolerate-.." "EW NO!" I gave her a look and ran off. After breaking the news to blossom I ran off to find cabin 100 in the far back of the woods and was ready to meet my new roommate.
