||Bella's P.O.V||
After that long plane ride I was starving. I stood with everyone else who had just come off the plane and awaited the arrival of my luggage.
After finally grabbing my suitcase I strolled over to the Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks grabbing a drink and a bagel.
I sat down and ate while I checked my phone.
"I hope you had a safe flight! I get your room now!" One of my sisters texted me.
Usually this would of made me angry and upset but this time it made me hold my head higher. I didn't have to worry about any of them anymore. I was confidently able to live on my own.
Throwing out my trash I grabbed my backpack and suitcase. Moving here I had one large suitcase of all my clothes and toiletries, a backpack of everything that was in my carry on, and my purse. That was it. It was a fresh start.
I unlocked my phone, opened the uber app, and awaited the arrival of a car to take me to my hotel.
After a short car ride, I grabbed all my luggage and went to the front desk to check in.
I got up to my room and unpacked a little. I would be staying here for a week so I figured why not make myself at home.
My phone buzzed a couple times as notifications came in because I finally had wifi and could plug my phone in.
I fixed my hair and changed my outfit. It was warmer here and I already loved it.
I checked my phone and just catched up on social media for awhile.
It had been getting later as it was already 8pm. I grabbed my purse, phone, and a pair of flip flops.
The nearest grocery store was only a block away so I walked there to grab a few items to keep at the room while I stayed there.
I only had two bags of stuff so I walked back and unpacked everything when I got back.
By now it was 8:45 and I made myself dinner and had some research to do.
Back home, I looked at an apartment or two and a couple small houses. They were affordable as for I saved up a lot to move here so I compared all of them and eliminated one house. Now I was looking at two apartments and two houses.
Looking at the apartments and reviews I noticed many people said they lived in the apartment I was leaning more to when they first moved out to LA and it was great for a place to stay for a few months or a year or two.
I figured it was a good decision to go there. I had made most of my mind up on an apartment but I still liked the idea of the houses but they were too big for just one person.
After plenty of overwhelming research I called the apartment complex, expressed my interest for an open apartment, and arranged some pricing options. When I got off the phone, I brushed my teeth and put on a pair of comfy shorts and a oversized t-shirt. It was now like 11 so I decided to go to bed.
**NEXT MORNING**
I woke up at about 6:30 but ended up going back to sleep till about 8.
By about 8:30 I arranged a to-do list for the day and got ready. I headed downstairs to get some breakfast that the hotel provided. I ate as I checked my phone and pulled up the address of the apartment complex.
This was a decision I was about 70% sure I wanted to make, but I wanted to go look at the apartment first.
After eating, I grabbed an uber and headed over to the building. A man at the front desk led me to the room and explained to me a little bit about it and the building. I was pretty sure now that I wanted to live here.
"Now, have you lived in this area before?" The man asked.
"No, I actually just moved here. I have a hotel room for a week and was hoping to move into an apartment starting this weekend. I've done a lot of research with a ton of places and spoke to a ton of people on the phone. And based on reviews, I figured this was the best fit." I informed him.
We went back downstairs to the front desk and he showed me some pricing, I had heard all about it over the phone but listened anyway.
"Yup. Sounds good."
"Ok. If I can just have your name, email, and phone number I can put you in the system, if you are 100% sure you would like one like that."
I gave him all my information and ended up heading back home. They said someone would call me tonight most likely or tomorrow the latest.
Getting back to the hotel, I started looking online on my laptop. I'm staying here until I get enough furniture to be able to stay at my apartment so as I had everything picked out already, I added and took away a few items from the shopping carts on the furniture store websites. I had small stuff to go pick up at some stores and buy stuff to be delivered to my apartment as soon as I received a call saying it was all mine and I could go pick up the key.
A lady ended up calling me that night while I was eating dinner. It was about 6 and I didn't feel like going over there again.
But since it was confirmed that it was mine and I was given my apartment number, I ordered some furniture to be delivered there. Everything should show up with a week or two.
It seems very rushed but I was sure I wanted to live there and I had a lot picked out already and just had to order it all.
The more urgent stuff like my mattress, couch, fridge, stove, microwave, and everyday stuff I needed was all in stock and was able to be delivered to my apartment with the next two to three days so I would have to go over and sign for those packages and unbox it all.
{Authors Note: sorry for such a boring chapter. It's pretty much a filler chapter but the next one will get into the story more in depth :)) }
