*Arlyn's pov*

Before I even had the chance to react to the news the doctor gave us, there was a loud cry. A gut wrenching, heart filled, cry. My heart tore out of my chest as Luka kept pleading out loud for Berlyn to come back and that he was sorry.

Erika bursted into tears, burying her face in her sisters chest. Crying out that she wanted her baby back.

I stayed silent while letting my tears fall down my face. My heart was pounding harshly, my breath caugh ij my throat. Luka turned to look at me with tears rapidly falling down his face. His breathing was rapid, his head shaking to the left and to the right, not believing what was happening. In seconds his stormy grey eyes rolled into the back of his head before his body was falling towards the floor.

Just as I caught him, the door of the operation room opened with a female doctor with wide eyes, looking amazed. "Doctor, h-he's breathing!" There's a smile on her lips as her eyes gleamed with determination. "Let's make this surgery a success!"

I turn my attention back to Luka, hearing Berlyn's mom cry in relief. A kind looking nurse walks over to me with a bed by his side. "I'm just going to take your friend and bring him into a room. You can come if you'd like."

"Go on, dear." I look over at Erika and nodded, thanking her. I quickly get up and follow the nurse after he lays Luka down on the uncomfortable looking bed.

After the nurse does whatever he needed to do with Luka, he turns around to face me. "Your friend is going to be just fine!" I thank him and watch as he leaves the room.

I sigh and take a seat by Luka's bed, rubbing my thighs. Let's just hope that Berlyn's surgery goes smoothly.

*Luka's pov*

"Do you really think you're going to win, you foolish child!" Berry let out one of his terrible sounding, evil laugh.

I giggled, tapping the buttons on the remote rapidly. "Of course -HEY YOU'RR CHEATING, YOU KEEP HITTING THE SAMS BUTTON!" I screech, pouting.

"Finish him off!" Berry said, along with the game. I huffed and threw my remote onto the couch, turning off the TV once the game was over.

"I'll beat you one day!" Huffing while grabbing a pillow and throwing it at him.

Berlyn giggles and catches it before it can hit him in the face. "Whatever helps you shit rainbows at the end of the day."

I give him a weird look and face palm myself. "I swear there's something wrong with you but you know, that's okay because I'm starving."

"LETS MAKE A GUMMY BEAR AND OREO PIZZA WITH LOTS OF CHEESE!" He shouts as we make our way upstairs, leaving me to cover my ears.

I turn around and flick him on the forehead, making him pout. "Any louder and this neighborhood will go deaf, including myself."

He just giggles and runs into my kitchen, pulling out oreos and a large bag of gummy bears. I shake my head in disgust, watching him as he takes out all the ingredients that he needs.

"Have fun eating that all by yourself because that sounds so gross." Berry only gives me one of his contagious grins, making me smile at his foolishness.

"I don't why I'm friends with you." I tease, nibbling on an Oreo.

He whines out, topping off his dessert pizza. "Because you love me, duh."
