-- While Maddy and Sean are playing truth or dare --
My eyes scan the room. There has to be a way out of this place.
Mark walks In with 2 trays. He walks up and drops one at my feet. He repeats this with James.
"Eat and shut it. I might let yas off for an 'our if yas are going to be sensible. Stretch them muscles of yours."
He hesitantly walks up to James and takes his chains off him.
"No funny business now. Or you'll pay later."
He walks over to me, still facing James. James just watches him. The child is so brave. He almost smirks at him.
He takes my chains off still watching James. I give James the nod when I'm out. I hate putting the child at risk but it's the only way we will get out.
James heads for the back door, knowing it's locked. Mark bolts for him. I make a run for the door. I get to the top step and shout,
"MADDY!!! HELP US PLEASE!!!"
I step up the last step before glancing behind me. I see Marks angry face and notice he is holding an iron or something in his hand. I run as fast as I can into the sitting room shouting for help. I feel someone grab my leg and I watch as James bolts past me. I hear shuffling upstairs and Sean saying,
"It's nothing! Don't worry! Your just imagining it!"
I hear James run upstairs, see Sean and Maddy at the top of the stairs and watch as Sean knocks James down the stairs.
He tumbles down the stairs and I turn and look into the angry eyes of Mark.That's the last thing I remember before blacking out...
