Prologue

Ben's Point Of View
T

oday was Sally's birthday. She was turning 16. She was really excited the day before, telling me how happy she was for being an older teen like everyone else except Slendy and the Rake. I was excited too because one, She was turning my age, and two, LJ threw awesome parties.

I was getting her a gold heart locket necklace that had a picture of her and I taking a selfie on the couch. It was our very first picture once we met. Since we were best friends, it would be an awesome and a special present for her, and I had the honor of putting it on her. So win win!

Right now I just woke up to the smell of pancakes and bacon, my two favorites for breakfast. Jumping up, I grabbed my usual attire and threw it on before walking through the hall and downstairs to the kitchen when I saw Slendy cooking as always, Toby annoying the hell out of Jeff while Jeff just sat there annoyed, EJ and LJ eating their usual (kidneys and candy) and Clockwork and Jane talking about random girl stuff.

Giggling, I made my way to my normal spot, in between Toby and Sally's chair. I smiled as I heard small little footsteps go down the stairs rapidly and soon, a not so little girl stood there, smiling as wide as Jeff's, looking towards all of us, especially me. And that girl was Sally.

"Ben!" She quickly ran to me and hugged/tackled me to the ground, making me laugh and groan from the impact. "Hi! Guess who's birthday is today!" she yelled into my shirt. I decided to play with her a bit. "Hmm, is it.... Clockwork's?" I asked with a huge grin plastered on my face. "Nope! Guess again." she said, looking up at me. "How about... Jeff's?" I guessed again and she shook her head. "I don't know, then." I said chuckling and she giggles like the 8 year old inside of her. "Its mine, silly." she said and I nodded. "I know, I knew the whole time." I said and she giggled again getting off of me to let me sit back down on my chair. "Well, now that we're all here, let's start eating." Slendy said and we all get up to grab our food.

I got pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs with ketchup, and... Where's the waffles? Oh wait... "Toby! Why's you take all the waffles?" I whined while facing him to see that he had all the waffles. All 12 of them! "I d-don't kn-know what-t your t-talking abo-out." he stuttered smiling innocently and I rolled my eyes at his attempt of moving the situation along. "Can I have at least two?" I asked sweetly trying not to get him upset. "Mmh, NOPE!" he yelled laughing ad I decided to just give up.

After eating and talking about random junk, I decided on going back to my room to grab Sally's present when something poked me to the side. "Hey Ben, are you doing anything important right now?" she asked and batted her eyes quickly. I smiled at how cute she was... Actually she was always cute. "Um... No. Why?" I asked and kept walking with her beside me. "I don't know. I was bored and thought about playing games with you." she stated simply once we entered my room. "Well actually, I have q present for you!" I exclaimed.

Sally jumped up and down as I got the locket from inter the pillow. Once I held it up for her to see, she instantly grabbed it, but then hastily put it on my palms. "S-sorry. I was excited." she looked down onto the ground in guilt, but I only chuckled before holding out the locket again. "Nah. Its fine. Here," I moved in back of her, threw her long hair over her shoulder, then carefully put it around her neck and clipped it. "Tada! Now look inside it." I said before moving in front of her.

As she looked at the picture, tears began to weld up in her eyes. "B-ben, this was our first picture..." she choked out before wrapping her arms around me in a right hug. "Thank you." she whispered, when I felt a light peck to the cheek. It made my cheeks instantly heat up as she got off me. "Well... I'm gonna have a candy eating contest with LJ before going out to kill. So I'll see you at the party." she waved before walking out the door.

Well, I can say that this day is going to be eventful.
